"THEY ARE HERE, the sky people have found us, the kids are in trouble-" Jake Sully rushed to Tonowari to tell him the sudden news.
"Including yours." He finished his sentence, making Tonowari tear his eyes open even more.
Neytiri was quick to grab her bow, her face was hard to read she was either completely scared or completely concentrated and ready for anything that was going to come at her.
"Take this." Ronal handed Neytiri another weapon over, she looked at it confused, "I figured that you might also need a weapon for close combat, so just keep it on your side as well." Ronal forced a brave smile, trying her best to hide the fear she was experiencing.
"They're fine, in times like this we need to be strong." Neytiri squeezed Ronal's shoulder before rushing to the others that were already getting ready to set off.
There had been no time to lose.
"Lo'ak can you hear me?" Jake spoke using the throat microphone, he impatiently waited for an answer.
"Yes, yes sir." Lo'ak's voice had been steady, he had been in this situation before. And even though Lo'ak sounded alright Jake Sully's heart still hurt, he had hoped that his children would never have to go through any of that ever again, but the sky people were never going to leave them alone.
Not if they didn't have what they wanted most,
Jake Sully himself.
"Get as far away from the sky people as possible, we are coming with weapons, just.. please stay safe." He sighed.
It took some seconds for Lo'ak to reply, "We will, you can count on us dad."
And with that the warriors of the Metkayina clan set off.
-
"Tuk? What are you doing here?" Tuseÿa mouthed as she saw the little girl hide behind the seaweed underwater. The others had kept swimming since they hadn't seen her and were too focused on getting away from the sky people.
Tuk was going to be a problem, her being here was too dangerous.
Neteyam who had been on Tuseÿa's side and therefore now also saw his sister grabbed her by the hand and dragged her up to the surface. "Ouch! You guys left me alone back there, so I followed you.." she mumbled unaware of the mess she was now also in.
Tuseÿa and Neteyam looked each other in the eyes for a second, and just like Tuseÿa's parents did, they spoke without having to use any words.
He nodded at her before talking to his sister again, "Just come with us, okay? We need to leave, now."
You could hear the sky people getting closer and closer, but the Metkayina clan was getting closer too, a bunch of tsuraks and their riders were coming towards them.
The three rushed to keep up with the others again, Tuseÿa signed with her hands underwater that the sky people were getting closer and that they would need to form a plan since they were going to catch up in anytime.
"What about Payakan?" Lo'ak pointed at his fin, Payakan was moving a bit slowly since his fin was still hurt.
They all got their heads out of the water to discuss their next moves, "Let's think strategic, Ao'nung and Roxto meet up with father, get weapons and take orders from him." Tuseÿa started to outline their plan, because without a plan they were going to go nowhere.
