"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, "you lost her"?" Tuseÿa had been laughing to overplay the fear she was currently experiencing.
She hoped that Lo'ak was just being silly and Tsireya was hiding somewhere laughing her butt off because they had successfully pranked her, but that didn't seem to be the truth.
"She was taking me somewhere, somewhere a little far away from here, a-and then-" Lo'ak took a long break to catch his breath again. He fidgeted with his fingers to collect his words.
"And then what?" Tuseÿa asked impatiently, her sister was gone and she needed to know how it happened. She had no time for the his breaks.
"I-I was stupid and wanted to scare her a little, so I hid somewhere, where she couldn't find me. When I was looking for her again, she was gone.." Lo'ak took a few steps towards Tuseÿa to comfort her but she immediately pushed him away.
She clenched her fists to contain her anger, she was close to snapping and completely going mad.
"I knew it was a bad idea to let you guys go! Tsireya doesn't even know this area too well!" Tuseÿa went through her hair stressed. She was biting her bottom lip to calm down her anxiety.
Neteyam was trying to stroke her arm since he saw how anxious she was, "We'll find her, okay?" He spoke calmly but all Tuseÿa wanted right now was to be alone. "Don't." She brushed his hand of her arm rejecting his affection.
It was too dark outside for them to look for Tsireya, she could be anywhere, so what exactly were they supposed to do?
"I'm so sorry, Tuseÿa. I really didn't want this to happen." Lo'ak whispered with tears forming around his eyes. Tuseÿa didn't feel anything in that moment, she was empty.
Without thinking first Tuseÿa was walking towards the ocean, ready to dive in and look for her sister. Neteyam immediately grabbed her hand to stop her from walking, "What are you doing?" He asked, concern written all over his face.
"I'm going to find my sister, she can't be too far away." The girl answered with cold and piercing eyes. The warm eyes that had been looking at Neteyam not too long ago had faded and became stern.
Neteyam tightened his grip around her wrist as Tuseÿa tried to leave again, "Don't be stupid, it's too dark right now, you won't find her." He furrowed his eyebrows like a concerned father.
"I lost her, so I'll be the one to looking for her." Lo'ak spoke again after being quiet for awhile, Tuseÿa scuffed turning her head to look at him.
"Don't you think you've done enough?"
Tuseÿa's voice had sounded confused and mad at the same time, "How dare he say that after everything." She thought, but didn't say out loud.
Tuseÿa always had an iffy feeling about Lo'ak, he just seemed like trouble. But seeing how much her sister grew fond of him made her suppress those thoughts and start to like him too.
But now her sister was gone and it was all because of him.
"Tuseÿa I-" Lo'ak breathed however Tuseÿa had no interest in hearing him out whatsoever.
"Just leave, both of you!"
Lo'ak opened his mouth for a short second, to say something again but he felt too guilty to. He looked to his brother who was silently looking to the ground and then, without another word vanished in the ocean.
