IT WAS PRETTY MUCH neck on neck in the beginning, which made Tuseÿa worry a little. "How is he getting faster and faster every time I see him swim?" she wondered, scared of the thought of him winning.

Meanwhile Tuseÿa was lost in her thoughts Neteyam had overtaken her and was now leading. It was risky but Neteyam looked back for a second just to see Tuseÿa's struggling face as she tried to keep up with him again.

They were slowly catching up with the others too and could see them swimming not too far ahead of them. The distance between Neteyam and Tuseÿa was quickly closing again and the girl was so close to beating him.

A lot of the others got out of the water already which meant that they were almost at their destination and were outside the reef.

It was the final sprint and they had to give their everything, both of them definitely reached their own limits but their pride was too big to settle on losing.

Neteyam really wanted to win this stupid race, which hadn't really been stupid to him if he was honest.

He wanted to somehow prove himself to Tuseÿa even though it sounded silly and this race probably didn't mean anything to her, but he gave his all and went completely over his limits. This ended up making his legs hurt very badly, but it was worth it since he got his body out of the water a split second before Tuseÿa had.

"Fuck yeah!" He screamed loudly, he was glad that they were finally away from the village and could freely scream again.

"Alright.." Tuseÿa rolled her eyes acting like it didn't hurt her pride a little after the forest boy had been faster than her, someone who basically grew up in the water.

"Don't downplay it, who's the mighty warrior, come on now, say it!" He obviously wanted to provoke Tuseÿa, which was definitely successful.

The girl looked to the side, letting her hair cover the side of her face so the Sully boy couldn't see her flustered look.

"You... are.." she mumbled not actually wanting to say the words out loud. "Huh, couldn't hear you, could you repeat that for me please?" He held his hand to his ear pretending like he hadn't heard her, but he definitely did.

Tuseÿa certainly did not enjoy losing, but seeing Neteyam's winner-smile sort of made up for it. It was cute.

"Fuck you, that's what I said you skxawng." She pushed him back, but not too hard so he wouldn't fall down and embarrass himself. Tuseÿa now ran away from the angered boy in fear. She could hear Neteyam still screaming in triumph as she ran to the others.

Some people started gathering wood for the bonfire meanwhile some went fishing, so they'd have something to eat. They all worked together in order for this bonfire to be unforgettable.

Tuseÿa decided to collect some wood along with Kiri and Tsireya. Neteyam had lost the girl and got forced to help with the fishing. His eyes wandered through the people, but Tuseÿa was nowhere to be found.

As Tuseÿa approached Kiri and her sister she noticed the new necklace around Tsireya's neck.

"Where did you get that from?" she asked, full of curiosity pointing her finger at her sisters neck. Tsireyas hand immediately flew to the necklace when Tuseÿa had mentioned it.

"Um, it was a gift by.. someone." She rapidly answered pretending to look for more wood to carry although her arms were already full.

Kiri and Tuseÿa exchanged a few knowing glances not saying anything. Both of the girls picked up more wood while suffocating Tsireya with the silent treatment. They were waiting for her to spill whatever she was hiding.
