It's been three weeks since Buck was in the coma, and he was finally beginning to wake up. Carlos first noticed that Buck had started to move his limbs a little bit. He didn't think anything of it at first, but Buck's eyes had started to open a bit before closing again. At this, Carlos pressed the nurse button and then woke TK up. He told the nurses that Buck was starting to wake up and a group of doctors rushed in and started checking Buck. The noise of the doctors checking him woke TK up and Carlos brought TK up to date.
Buck opened his eyes again and this time, looked around. He focused on TK and Carlos, then back at the doctors. The doctors were satisfied with how Buck was doing. Buck's main doctor, Dr. Raines stayed behind to speak with Carlos and TK.
"Mr. Buckley is definitely improving, but there is something that I am worried about. Due to the head trauma from the blast, Mr. Buckley might have Post-traumatic amnesia. He might not remember certain events from before the blast. Right now, just be with him and help him. His memories will start to come back, but not for a little", Dr. Raines explained.
"Thank you, we will." Carlos replied before sitting back down. TK nodded and grabbed his phone while Dr. Raines was leaving the room. "I'll call Dad and Eddie," TK said before leaving the room. Carlos sighed and laid his head on Buck. If he had amnesia, would he remember dating TK and Carlos? That's what worried him. How far back would he forget? Carlos worried that Buck wouldn't remember anything. It scared him.
TK was scared too. He felt like he would break down if Buck forgot who they were. After all they've been through. They wouldn't know how bad his amnesia would be until he was fully coherent. Over the next four hours, the doctors kept checking in on Buck. The team arrived once Buck was fully awake. TK was shaking. They could finally see what Buck remembered.
TK and Carlos walked in first, hand in hand. Buck turned towards them and gave them a confused look. "I'm sorry. Do you have the wrong room?" TK and Carlos stopped in their tracks but Owen urged them forward. "No Buck. We are in the right room. What do you remember?" Owen asked him. Buck scratched his head before wincing. "I don't know who you are. What happened? I remember climbing the tower with Eddie. Did...Is Eddie ok? What about Chris?" Buck started to panic. At this point, Eddie and Chris came in to calm him down. "Buck...Evan, look at me. It's Eddie. Chris and I are alright. The earthquake was a year ago when I first started. You're in Texas with the 126 now." Eddie explained. Chris climbed on the bed and snuggled against Buck.
"What? No. Eddie, are you sure you didn't hit your head when we got to Ali's room?" Buck questioned before pulling Chris into him. "And who are these people?" TK stepped back before leaving the room. Carlos went to follow him and Owen made him promise to keep TK safe. "Eddie. Where's Bobby and Maddie?" Buck saw Eddie physically cringe and how the others glared. Eddie walked over to Owen. "I think it's best if y'all left for now. I'll stay with him. At least for a little. Looks like I need to talk with him." Eddie said. Owen agreed and got his team out of there. Eddie went back to Buck and sat down in the chair that was originally TK's. "Buck, there's a lot that you've missed."
