I wake up the next morning to the sound of plates banging and laughter downstairs. That's unusual because I'm usually the first awake but then I realise where I actually am. I'm currently lying on top of a sleeping Leah's chest and the feel of her short breaths on top of my head and her arm securely around my side brings me nothing but comfort.

After taking a minute to let myself wake up fully and wiping the sleep from my eyes, Leah starts to stir under me

"Morning" she says in a raspy voice. That's the first time I've heard her voice like that and I think I prefer it to her normal voice. Jeez pull yourself together Abi

"Morning" I say as I pull back a small bit and smile up at her

"How's your head" I ask and she smiles

"Not too bad actually, I dread to think how Ella and Georgia feel" she replies and we both laugh

"I don't think they'll be feeling too healthy"

"Yeah, we should probably get up" she says pulling the covers off her and moving to sit on the side of the bed

"Yeah I can smell food" I say and we both laugh

"Come on then" she says and we both make our way downstairs. Leah walks into the kitchen ahead of me and when I walk in I see all the girls sitting at the table just about to eat breakfast

"Ah, your alive" Georgia says as we make our way over to sit with them. A sudden urge of insecurity floods my body as I realise that last night was only my second time meeting all of these girls and I was probably more myself around them than I've ever been but yet I barely know any of them. I think Leah notices this as I'm sitting at the table with my hands hanging and just staring into space while their all eating.

"You ok" she asks in a whisper tone just so I can hear over everyone else's conversation

"Yeah" I say smiling and nodding my head

"You sure"

"Yeah I'm fine honestly, just daydreaming" I say as I pick up a slice of toast to try and avoid the conversation. It seems to work as she doesn't ask any more questions and nobody else seemed to notice. We all enjoy a really nice breakfast while the conversations are flowing and eventually everybody starts to make their way home and it's just me Leah and Beth left at the table.

"I suppose we better get going, I'm meeting mum and nan for dinner today" Leah says as she makes her way to the sink with her dishes

"I'm ready whenever you are" I reply

We say our goodbyes and thank Beth for letting us stay and then make our way to Leah's car. We spend the first few minutes of the drive sitting in a comfortable silence until Leah speaks

"Thanks for coming with me last-night" she says not taking her eyes off the road

"Thanks for inviting me"

"Did you have a good night"

"Yeah I really enjoyed it, did you"

"Yeah" she says turning her head to smile at me quickly

We spend the next few minutes listening to Leah's playlist until we eventually reach my house

"Thanks" I say turning to smile at her and she nods

"I'll see you later then" I say opening the door and getting out

"Text me when your home yeah" I say just before walking away

"I will" she says and we both smile before I walk away and she drives away

When I walk in home I immediately go into the living room to see Alex, Nelly and Arthur all sitting on the sofa watching cartoons
