I couldn't stop laughing as he laid his forehead on mine. He was trying to kiss me but every time I calmed down enough for him to even get close, I'd giggle and then burst into laughter again. That would make him shake his head and laugh at me. It was just a continuous cycle.

"Vee-" His shoulders moved quickly between his giggles, pushing his hand under my head so I would keep looking at him. "What's so funny?"

"I don't know." I breathed, bringing my hands up to wipe away the tears sliding down the side of my face.

"Are you nervous?" I giggled. "Oh god. Here we go again." The grin on his face indicated he was loving having me here laughing. Even if it was over nothing. Laying here with him like this was quickly undoing the pain he had caused. Call me stupid for taking him back this easily and falling right under his spell again but I needed him like a fire needs oxygen. Without him I was suffocating. It hurt more not having him in my arms than what he had done. That being said, I wasn't falling for it a second time. This was it. All or nothing. "Are you done? Can I kiss you again now?" I nodded, taking in a calming breath.

He pushed his lips into mine, pulling one leg up as he slipped his body in-between them. He gently bit my lip as another quiet moan left my mouth. I could do this all day with him. Over and over again. Just to feel him as close to me as humanly possible.

We heard a car door slam outside followed by Caz's laugh in the driveway.

"Shit." He sat up, eyes bolting to the door and then back to me.

"My phone's on the kitchen side." I looked at him as he jumped up, hurriedly pulling his jeans on. "She'll go ballistic if she knows I'm here James."

"She won't baby, just stay quiet okay. I'll be 2 minutes." I nodded, sitting up in his bed as he threw me his shirt I had taken off him half an hour ago. I slowly pulled it over my arms, fastening it as he left, closing the door behind him.

~~~ James' POV~~~
I quietly closed the door, watching as the front door opened, Caz and Ashton walked in. She'd very clearly had a few drinks though wasn't close to being as drunk as I had seen her before after a good match.
"You two are back early." He rolled his eyes, taking her bag and putting it by the door before leaning down and taking her shoes off. I guess she was staying the night then. No surprise there.
"JAMES." Caz looked up at me. "You fucked up."
"I know Caz. You've said. Everyone said. Multiple times like I don't know." I carried on down the stairs, walking into the kitchen and pushing Vee's phone into my back pocket. Smooth movements so not to make them notice. Calm and composed. It's fine. They wouldn't know. She didn't want them to know. I turned around and she was staring up at me from a few inches away. I put my hands on her shoulders, holding her still as I stepped back. "God Caz. How much have you had?"
"Enough to drink for her too." She crossed her arms. "You're such an ass James. She's so sweet and you came in here and fucked her up."
"She's fine Caz."
"No she's not. She's acting fine but you haven't seen her every night this week just sat staring into the fucking void."
"Caz. Don't worry about it. I'm going to sort it." I looked up at Ashton, begging for his help. He just shook his head and shrugged. He agreed with her. His eyes went to my chest, running his finger over where her scratch marks were still red on me. Every time she touched me, without fail, my entire body was electrified. Everything became clearer, like I suddenly go from 8bit pixels to crystal clear 4k high definition.
