"Oh you're just too cute in your little uniform Keigo!"

He smiled at your praise, and posed as you took more photos of him. It'd be his first day of school, and you honestly didn't know if it'd be harder for him or you.

You'd grown quite attached to him, and you'd miss spending all of your time with him. He was always so polite, although it did seem he was beginning to have a mischievous streak. But it was all in good fun, and you wouldn't trade him for the world.

"C'mon dad! If you keep taking pictures I'm gonna be late!"

You scooped the boy into your arms, peppering his face with kisses, making him giggle.

"I know Keigo, but I'm just gonna miss you soooo much!"

He hugged you, trying to make you feel better,
"I'll miss you too!"

You hummed in response, setting him down so you'd both be able to walk to his kindergarten.

Outside the building, numerous little children were playing, some together, some alone, all happy. The thought of being part of that excited Keigo. He'd finally make his first friend! Besides you of course.

"This is it, Keigo,"

He turned to you, and you kneeled down so you could give him one last hug.

"Have fun at school, Keigo!"

He waved to you as he walked through the gates,
"Bye dad! Love you!"

Oh how they grow up so fast.

You'd made a nice deal with the company you worked for. You'd work in the office for some of the day, and you'd be able to work from home for another part of it, letting you have the time to pick Keigo up from school and care for him.

It was a bit difficult convincing your boss, but you felt it'd be necessary for Keigo to grow up right, and after showing your boss a picture of your boy, he couldn't help but agree.

Keigo looked around the crowd of adults until he found you. With an excited little run, he bolted over to you, hugging your legs.

You patted his head with a chuckle before lifting him into your arms.

"Did you have fun at school, bud?"

He nodded his head happily,
"Yeah! I made a friend too! His name is Touya, he said we can be best friends forever!"

You gently rocked him up and down,
"That's amazing baby! Can you point him out to me so I know what he looks like?"

After a few moments, your son pointed to a boy with red hair who seemed to be waiting for his parent or guardian. You didn't think too much of it, maybe they were running late?

Other than that, he seemed like a nice boy, and you were happy that your son had made a friend.

"Alright bud, in celebration of your first day, we get to eat ice cream when we get home!"

He raised his fists in the air,
"Yay!"
