Keigo sighed quietly to himself as his teacher droned on about today's lesson. Usually he had Touya by his side to keep things entertaining, but he went home early today, leaving Keigo to fend for himself.

Suddenly, the classroom door opened, and the principal called for him.

He was a bit confused. He didn't do anything wrong, well not that he could remember. Maybe they were calling him in to tell him how amazing he was! Or maybe the government was going to recruit him as a secret agent!

He received no such news, and from the window, his classmates saw him running out of the school.

"Keigo? Why're you crying?"

Keigo looked up at you with big teary eyes,
"I don't want you to die!"

He jumped at you and hugged onto you as tightly as he could, sobbing into your shirt.

You hugged him,
"Shhh, it's alright Keigo, everyone dies, it's just how life is,"

"But that's so sad!"

You sighed,
"Yeah, You're right. It can be one of the saddest things in the world, even if it's natural,"

Your words weren't helping him.

"But, it just makes it so we appreciate the time we have alive even more. And besides, I won't die for a long time!"

He raised a brow at you,
"Really?"

"Really Keigo. If I can help it, I'll stay on this earth with you for as long as possible,"

He really wished you'd lived up to your word right now as he ran to the hospital.

"What's your relation to the patient?"

"I'm his son! I need to see him, now!"

They let him through, and he rushed to your room, his heart dropped when he saw you lying in the hospital bed with a respirator on.

"Your dad's been unresponsive for a while now,"

A voice spoke from behind him.

"He breathed in a lot of dense smoke, and when he passed out, he hit his head pretty bad too. The amount of adrenaline in him didn't help much either,"

Why was this doctor so bad at comforting?!

"We'll do whatever we can to help him though, don't you worry,"

All Keigo could do was sit down and pray to the high heavens you'd wake up.

"Keigo, you alright there?"

A voice shook him from his thoughts. He saw a white haired woman at the door.

"Oh, hey Auntie Rei. I'm... a little less than fine,"

She sighed,
"That makes sense,"
