"C'mon dad, the doctor said to rest,"
"I still feel like I have something to do,"
Your son rolled his eyes,
"The moment you got out of your hospital bed you went and fixed someone else's life problems, I think you've done enough,"That was one of the habits Keigo wasn't too fond of you having, your need to help everyone. Sure he was glad you helped Touya through his family issues, but that whole time what you really needed to do was get your inhaler!
"I'm so lucky to have such a caring son,"
You said as you got in your bed."Yeah yeah, you're very fortunate. Anyways, I was gonna help the Todoroki's move their stuff, you think you can handle yourself on your own?"
"Keigo please, I'm a perfectly able thirty something year old, I'm sure I can manage,"
Immediately after saying this you went into a coughing fit, and Keigo handed you your inhaler once you'd finished."Make sure not to use this one for at least four more hours, okay?"
He warned."I know, thank you. Now you should go, I'm sure Touya is eager to see you,"
You gave him a kiss on the cheek before he left, and you laid your head back down on your pillow before letting out a deep exhale.
Thank god you didn't die. Picturing your son crying over your casket was something you never wanted to happen, especially at an age like his. Conversely, you didn't want to have to witness Touya's funeral either, so in the end it worked out alright.
The pained expression on your son's face when you woke up, you never wanted to see that again.

"This is for your father,"
The large man handed Keigo a very hefty gift basket.
"I'm sure he'll appreciate it, thank you Mr. Todoroki,"Enji shook his head,
"Please, call me Enji. After what you're father's done for us, we'll forever be indebted to him,"Keigo was definitely not about to call his friend's dad by his first name, but he appreciated the gesture nonetheless.
Keigo set the gift basket down on the table of Todoroki's new house. Rather than a traditional Japanese home, it seemed like they opted for a modern home with traditional accents and decor.
"So, where're the boxes?"
Keigo asked.Enji looked away from him guiltily,
"Actually, we asked you hear for a different purpose..."~•~
"I can't believe my parents are making my best friend babysit me! We're the same age, and I'm perfectly capable of moving boxes!"
Keigo was getting slight flashbacks to his time with you earlier, but ignored them so he could comfort his friend.
"Relax dude, let's just play Mario Kart or something,"
Touya's parents had installed a TV in his room when they first moved, and reasoned that their other children would receive the same once they came of age as well.
