Keigo looked at the mirror and sighed in disappointment. He wasn't too happy with how he looked.

Whether it was the acne that he couldn't seem to defeat, or the dark spots under his eyes that wouldn't go away no matter how well he slept, all of it left him dissatisfied.

He wanted to change how he looked, but at the same time, he really enjoyed being lazy with you, which really threw a wrench into his plans.

He could imagine himself in the future, super buff and tall, he'd be the tall of the town!

The sound of your voice calling him for the dinner shook him from his fantasy, and he made his way to the dinner table to see a nice looking meal waiting there for him.

He sat down and began to think, did he really have to eat? Eating meant calories, and calories meant weight gain, and weight gain was the opposite of what he wanted.

"Actually, I'm not that hungry, dad,"

You tilted your head,
"You sure? How about you just take one bite then,"

He sighed and did as you said, knowing that this would be the only way to make sure you wouldn't bother him about it anymore.

He took one bite and...

He ended up eating the whole thing. Your cooking was just too darn good!

Well no matter, he'd just skip breakfast!

No he didn't.

No matter how hard he tried, he just wasn't able to deny any of the food you made him, and he couldn't shake the feeling that they were all just empty calories keeping him away from his body goals.

Meanwhile in the Todoroki household, the eldest son was also having self confidence issues of his own.

Touya adored his father and wanted nothing more in the world to be like him one day, but compared to his father, he was a string bean.

He wanted to be as buff as him too! Then he'd totally get a hot date with anyone he wanted and make his dad proud!

But no matter how hard he tried, muscle gain just seemed impossible. He looked at his stomach in the mirror, frowning at its flat surface. Where the hell were his abs?!

His parents had told him before that he doesn't need to stress about it or that he'll get there eventually, but that was all garbage talk!

His mass consumption of social media didn't help either, skewing his views on what normal body types could mean for different people.

All he knew was that buff = good, and that he needed to get there.

"Thanks for taking me to the pool, uncle (f/n),"

You set your bag near a beach chair and sat down,
"No problem Touya. Besides, Keigo would probably get bored if it was just me an him,"

Your son nodded in confirmation, and the boys got ready to get into the water. There was a problem though.

The three of you weren't the only ones at the pool, and getting in the water meant they'd have to take their shirts off.

After a few moments, you tilted down your sunglasses to give the boys a confused look,
"Well? Aren't you gonna swim?"

They looked at each other nervously before looking back at you, then averting your gaze.

"We... don't wanna take our shirts off,"

You sighed,
"Look, no one's gonna steal your shirts, I'll keep 'em safe,"

"It's not that, it's just..."

Your son brought his voice down to a whisper,
"Embarrassing,"

You quirked a brow, and he continued to explain.

"I don't want everyone to be able to see this,"
He said while motioning toward his body.

You pointed to shirtless dudes at the other side of the pool,
"They have their shirts off, and they don't seem to care,"

Touya retorted,
"That's because they're hot and have abs! We've both got cutting board stomachs!"

You sighed and sat up from your recliner position, setting down your sunglasses.

"So both of you are feeling self conscious about your bodies?"

They nodded shyly.

"Well I'm not gonna say that looks don't matter, but what I am gonna say is that you two are perfectly fine as you are,"

You continued,
"You're both physically healthy, and you're two of nicest boys in the city. It's perfectly fine to want to improve your body, but you shouldn't let your body goals cause you discomfort,"

You finished off your speech,
"Looks can be important, but they're not everything,"

They seemed like they understood what you said, but didn't look like they were fully on board with it.

"Look, let me tell you a story of someone who had this exact same problem. There was this high schooler, and he-"

Your son interrupted you,
"Is this story about you?"

You looked away from him,
"Maybe. Well anyways, I used to be super self conscious about my body too, I even skipped meals because of it. Eventually though, I found people who liked me regardless of what I looked like, and even though it took some time, I became happy with who I was,"

You then gave the boys suspicious looks,
"You two haven't been trying to skip meals, right? You know that's how you can get an eating disorder,"

They both shook their heads, though Keigo made sure to not look you in the eyes.

"You two ready to swim now?"

They both exchanged looks one more time before throwing their shirts off and jumping into the pool. They weren't completely over their body confidence issues, but they made some progress.

I'm gonna make you go on another date next chapter because I think it's really funny do you want to go on a second date with the person from last time (who may or may not be Gojo inspired) or a new person. Either way I'm not gonna make them a big player in the book because I'm not too big a fan of crossovers
