We were sitting in the waiting room, waiting patiently for Kenneth to get out of surgery. I thought I lost him. I thought one of the reasons I came back was gone. I'm grateful that the bullet didn't hit any important organs or anything else that would kill him. I pray that he comes out of surgery well and recovers well. I wasn't mad at anyone not even Orlando, Dru had it coming for him. I liked Orlando, alot. I pray that him and Kyah will get together soon but I know with all of her drama with Dru and the baby arriving soon, she won't be worrying about a relationship at this moment. BUT I know that Lando will be a great male friend that she needs right now. With everything that happened today, I have to tell my kids and husband about Alaya. I couldn't hold it in anymore. After seeing Kyah hold her at the party, I knew it was my time to tell my biggest secret before it was to late. I called Toya and told her that I was going to tell everyone and she agreed to bring Alaya to the hospital so that I could properly introduce her to everyone.
" Ma, you want anything from the vending machine?" Kolby asked me
" Bring me a Sprite and a honey bun please I got bad heartburn right now." Ky said causing everyone to laugh.
" I was talking to momma." he said rolling his eyes
" A bottle of water would be good son thank you." I said grabbing my phone from my purse.
Toya texted and told me that she was in the elevator heading up towards us. My hands began to sweat. It was only me, Kolby, Jaliyah and Ky here so I knew it wouldn't be as bad because it was only family around. I saw my baby girl enter the room and she ran towards me.
" Mommyyyyy" she said running to me with open arms.
Kyah and Jaliyah turned their heads towards us and I looked at Kyah with tears in my eyes.
" I'm sorry baby. I lied to you I'm sorry. I couldn't keep this a secret any longer than I wanted to. I didn't want any more drama and pain. After everything that happened today, I just couldn't keep this in anymore. Please forgive me."
" I forgive you momma. You've been through a lot and I couldn't imagine what you went through for those 5 years. There's nothing to be sorry for." Kyah said hugging me.
" What we all hugged up for?" Kolby said coming in the waiting passing out everyone's snacks and drinks.
" Everyone meet your baby sister, Alaya. Alaya meet Jaliyah and your brother and sister, Kolby and Kyah."
" SISTER?! I'm stuck with two of these spoiled brats now? God help me." Kolby said and we all laughed.
Alaya went to everyone in the room, and laughed and giggled. I was happy that Kyah and Kolby didn't judge or get upset by this news. Kenneth, is the person who I worried about with this new information. No telling what he'll do when I tell him. I pray for positivity and comfort just like Kyah and Kolby gave me. Everyone was talking and laughing when the doctor came into the waiting. We all stood up and he walked over to us.
" Hello Richardson family, Kenneth is now in recovery and doing well. The bullet was almost close to his heart and we're grateful that it didn't. My only concern as a doctor is his mobility and breathing. There is a possibility that he could have breathing difficulties now after the shooting and may also be paralyzed on the right side of his body where the bullet hit at. Once he wakes up, we will test out that theory but for now you all can go home and get you some rest. One person is allowed to stay if you would like Mrs. Richardson."
I nodded my head and thanked the doctor for his cooperation. I decided to stay while everyone else went back to the house until in the morning. I walked inside of Kenneth's room and walked up to the side of the bed. I held his hand and prayed before I climbed in bed with him amd drifted off to sleep.
