I smiled and liked the message. Me and Dru have been getting closer over messages since I started texting him and he's been sweet, but you know that's always how it is in the beginning. I walked over to my closet to find something to wear for school. I chose something simple, my pink Nike windbreaker, some black biker shirts and my pink Steve Madden shoes to match. I combed my hair up into a bun and called it a day. I waited on Jaliyah to finish getting ready so we could go to school. I was worried about her, she hasn't been talking since we got her things from her house the other day. She's really worried about her mom and honestly I am too. I've known Ms.Reneé forever and for her to just kick Jaliyah out for no reason was not like her. I wanted to talk to Jaliyah and see how she felt about the situation, but I just let her be. She came down stairs with a hoodie over her head and some tights and slides, I knew she was not herself.
" You wanna stay home today? You don't look too good" I told her suggesting that she stayed home.
" I'm okay Ky for real." She said walking passed me and out the door.
We got in my car and headed towards school. Once we got there Jaliyah quickly got out and slammed my door. I ignored her and just started walking towards the entrance. Walking into the school I seen huge posters of football players and cheerleaders. Tomorrow was the first game of the season and I was so excited! Dru mentioned to me that scouts were coming tomorrow for the game, and I was proud of both him and Kolby, I wanted the best for both of them. I entered the class and saw Taylor and Dania, I sat in my desk and they moved to seats right behind me. I was not for they bullshit today.
" Girl look what Dru texted me" she said showing Dania her phone
I knew she was just doing allat for show so I ignored her and kept waiting for the teacher to enter the room.
" Too cute! Y'all just need to gon head and be together at this point" Dania replied back to her
" I know but he keep fucking with these lame ass females who ain't gon do shit for him"
And right when she said that I snapped. I couldn't take this shit nomo.
" Look here bitch, the only bitch that's lame is yo ugly ass. Stop worrying about me and Dru and keep my name and his out yo mouth hoe. Now go play in traffic somewhere." I turned around and told Taylor. She rolled her eyes and went back to her original seat.
" Oh okay." I said turning back around in my chair.

* Uncle Kenneth shoots my mom's boyfriend between the eyes and I run upstairs to rescue my mom. I can't find her anywhere. I've looked in every room, under every bed, looked in every closet and bathroom and she's no where in here. I run back down stairs to check the garage. Something keeps telling me to check the trunk of her BMW. As I pop the truck of her car and open it, her body is lying in the trunk lifeless...*
" Ms. Thompson, are you okay? You're crying." my teacher says out loud in class.
Everyone, including Dru and Kolby, are now looking at me while the tears flow heavily from my eyes. I grabbed my things and quickly walked out of class. I ran to the girls bathroom and locked myself in a stall. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"Jaliyah it's me let me in." I heard Kyah tell me.
I unlocked the bathroom stall and let her inside. When she got inside I locked the door and she pulled me in for a hug. This only made the crying worst. Now, the small streams of tears turned into me sobbing and crying to where I couldn't breathe.
