Thankfully, Parker and I were able to restrain ourselves last night and just fell asleep without anything happening. I can only sigh in relief because I was so close to giving up myself for him, though I plan on doing that by the end of the night. As he went away, I went to the kitchen, and Kyra was waiting for me there.

"Wow! Good to know that you finally woke up. I made breakfast!" she snidely remarked after I reached the table, where all the plates of food she made for me were laid. I snickered as I sat, seeing the scrambled eggs smeared with ketchup, the letters HBD headlining it.

"Wow, an egg with a simple greeting..." I jested and she looked at me with a pout.

"Hey, at least I tried. I never cook for anyone, you know?" she said and sat beside me. I laughed again whilst shaking my head, I said, "Okay, ma'am. Thank you very much!"

She then pulled the chair beside me and sat down. "Happy birthday, Aubrey! So, give it a taste now. Go on. Don't be shy!"

I nodded with a smile and forked up the scramble eggs. As the flavor hit my mouth, the salty taste doused the roof of my tongue with incomprehensible tingling pain. However, I did my best not to let my calm expression waver. I don't want to offend the person who cooked me something, after all.

With her expression seemingly excited, Kyra asked, "How is it?"

"Good! This is the best egg I've ever tasted in my life," I lied, and thankfully, she didn't realize and jeered with happiness only. After breakfast, Kyra then forced me to be her living doll once more. We went shopping for some shoes, clothes, and accessories. I also went under a visceral amount of makeup and clothing changes. The day has only started, but I feel so tired already. None of my birthdays before were like this. Still, I'm enjoying this very much.

After that, we did more things that I couldn't seem to remember.

When we got home, Kyra and some makeup artist did their best to transform me. By the end of the last remaining stroke of sunshine, I was wearing a red bodycon and light yet luxurious makeup. My hair was straightened and loose now too.

"You look amazing, sweetie," Kyra jeered, and I smiled back at her. However, something seemed off in my expression and she noticed it. Although I didn't openly admit that I missed Parker, Kyra said, "Oh, don't worry. You'll see him later, and I'm sure he will love your dress."

A flashed smile on my dainty face. "You think?"

"Damn right, I do! He's probably just busy torturing that Dennis guy or something."

"Hmm... Okay."

After a while, Troy came to the house, letting me know that Parker would meet me at the party shortly after we arrived. The thought of him seeing me in this dress finally eased me out, so I came with them to the car with a big smile on my face.

Eventually, we pulled into a large clearing just inside the territory. The entire area was transformed into a huge flower garden with the design in place. Everything about it seemed dreamy, as well as the fairy lights. Nonetheless, it was the fountain and gushing water that made the scene complete.

People were already there, and I waved at them as I passed by. "Wow, this is incredible!" I audibly mumbled as I inhaled the scent of flowers and walked past everyone.

"Is it? I'm glad you like it."

The voice that boomed behind me made my heart flutter. Upon turning around, I immediately saw my lovely mate's sharp gaze. He looked so slick in his classic black shirt and ebony slacks. His muscles protruded and his smile made him even hotter.

I chuckled at his words and approached him with my eyes glowing. I couldn't seem to hide my desire, though. "You did all this for me?" I asked like a love-struck little girl.

"Of course. Happy birthday, Aubrey..." he said softly, and I felt like my whole world stopped. It seems like everyone around us stopped in their tracks to make way for us, which I found ideal. And so, I tiptoed a little, and with the help of my high-heeled shoes, I kissed him.

I heard some whispers of glee from those watching us, but I was too happy to give a damn.

"Thank you so much!" I said, wrapping my arms around his dainty waist.

He nodded and looked at my dress, his eyes also shifting with desire. "Damn, you look so good in this dress."

"Thank you!"

He kept looking at me intensely and commented, "You know, I would've ripped that dress off of you if we're alone."

I laughed heartily and remembered my gift for him. He for sure will lose his mind later.

"But enough of that for now. I have to show you something," Parker said and led me to another part of the venue. We reached the fountain eventually, and this area seemed less crowded. I watched as the party-goers dance to the rhythm of some pop songs in the distance.

"What are you going to show me? This fountain? I love it!" I said to him as we stood before the body of water. He shook his head and laughed, but before he could say anything, I heard someone behind me, calling, "Aubrey!"

My jaw almost dropped to the floor. "Hailey?" I mumbled her name as they ran towards me. Then, I saw who was behind her, and my heart felt like it was leaping outside my body. My whole family and Adam are here too!

I felt the tears fill my eyes and I made sure to look back at Parker with thankful eyes before greeting everyone. "This is the best gift you could've given me, Parker. Thank you..."

"It was nothing. Thanks to you too... Go ahead and greet them."

I nodded and embraced everyone as they reached my front. This is the best birthday ever.

"I can't believe it!" Hailey squealed as she hugged me first. "I know," I screeched back and then hugged my parents. "Mom! Dad! I missed you!"

"We missed you too. How has your life been?" My mother asked as she kept me in her teary embrace. "It's all good Mom! You have nothing to worry about..." I sincerely said and savored my hug with them. I also hugged my siblings, who both seemed as happy as me. Yes, even my little sister, my mortal enemy, couldn't help but cry in sight.

I could only chuckle and wipe her tears. Now that I've grown older, it's time to be a mature sister. After also greeting my brother's mate, I came to Adam, who was standing in the back. He timidly gave me a nod, but I snatched him, saying, "What the? Why are you being distant?!" I said and closed my eyes as I hugged him.

Upon pulling away, I noticed that Adam seemed hesitant to touch me. So, I looked at Parker and saw his burning gaze. I could only chuckle at his adorable jealousy.
