Parker's POV
As I expected, I didn't need to spend more time to torture the hunter at this time. Perhaps, he felt my determination to find out the truth. I even called the doctors over so he could see that someone was waiting outside to treat him so I could start over and over again.
"Ha!" I heaved as I lowered the whip to his peeling skin. He was covered in blood and was screaming in pain at this point. At that point, he started to smell like a pool of iron, and it fueled my desire to go crazy. "Tell me what you fucking know, Hunter. You know I won't stop until you do, right?" I muttered and thrashed him with the whip once more.
"Gah!" He screamed in agony. He was already tearing up, although he didn't sob. His chest bounced up and down as his skin grew pale. I was about to hit him once more, but his lips quivered. He was about to say something, so patiently kept my stance clear.
"U—Underground bunker! We have those. She might be in one..." Hunter's voice echoed in a sudden, and I couldn't help but leer.
"Where?! Which one?" I yelled and threatened to hit him, but he quickly answered, "Perhaps, in Kensington... She could be trapped in an underground bunker north of Kensington. It's the closest here."
I dropped the whip and crouched down to match his eyesight. Snatching his jaw, I muttered, "And what landmark must I see, huh?!"
He shook a little, gulping his nonexistent saliva as he answered, "T—There's an... abandoned building there. It's underneath. Please, stop..."
"Fucking twat. When I get back, I'll make sure to fucking kill you," I said in a cold tone before yanking his head away. After obtaining the only useful information I ever got from him at this point, I immediately alerted my men using the mind link.
Upon reaching the living room, I saw Kyra sitting on the couch. Next to her was Mary and Clara, one of her friends. They were all obviously tense. Troy's even soothing Kyra's back as she sobbed. I knew for a fact that my sister and Mary blamed themselves for Aubrey's disappearance. Nonetheless, while I was mad at the circumstances, I knew Kyra and Mary weren't the ones to blame. The hunters that decided to do what they did were the ones to blame.
Beside anything else, I was thankful for Clara's presence and how she helped the two ladies get over the saddening turn of events. I couldn't comfort them and assure them that I wasn't mad, so it was a good thing that other people were there for them to do it. I can only keep myself busy while looking for my girl.
When Kyra felt my presence, she looked up and asked with an apologetic look, "Parker, did something happen?" She looked like a mess. Honestly, her crying face made me feel like crying too, but I can't waste my precious time doing that.
I'm the Alpha.
"Hunter spilled. He told me where they're keeping Aubrey," I huffed, looking at the window to see some of my most trusted men arriving.
Kyra then walked up to me with a determined expression. "Let me come with you."
"No! Kyra, hunters took her, okay? It's not the place to play around. This is serious..." I kinda lost my cool as I said that. And so, Kyra's face paled. I knew she was distraught that she couldn't come, but I for sure knew that she also remembered our parents. The same thing happened to them.
My mother was captured, and my father died trying to save her. It was a disheartening turn of events which led to my takeover, but I needed to be stronger. I sighed and held Kyra's shoulders.
"Don't worry. We're going to get her back this time, Kyra," I said sincerely at her stunned face and turned around with pursed lips to meet my warriors.
Along with my Beta, we came to the briefing room and started to plan out. I have about 20 warriors with me. They are the ones who could come at such short notice.
"Before I say anything else, I want to say thank you for coming early. We need to get your Luna back. So keep this in mind. We take down anything in our way. These are hunters, so have no regrets. They are the very same people who killed my parents. They know our weaknesses and they know what we are coming for. Do your best and keep your armors intact. Understand?" I asked, and they all yelled, "Understand!"
My lips curved upwards upon seeing their enthusiasm. Then, even more determined than before, I began to lay out the plan to everyone.
They all practically knew how much I treasured Aubrey. Even though we've only known each other for such a short amount of time, she was already a big part of my life. Running the Blue Moon pack without her was something I couldn't imagine, if I'm being honest.
'Hold on, Aubrey. We're coming to save you,' I said through the bond, hoping it would reach her.
After laying the plans, the Beta and I hopped into my car immediately, speeding down the driveway as the two vans containing my strongest warriors followed closely behind. I drove so fast that I was sure I was speeding, but I couldn't care less about the law. I needed to find my Aubrey.
In no time, we reached the northern part of Kensington and the abandoned building Hunter talked about greeted our sight almost immediately. It did look rugged as if it has been abandoned for hundreds of years.
Gathering my pack, I signaled them to commence with the action. With one stroke of my pointing finger, the warriors and I entered the thrashed building, keeping our eyes sensitive and senses heightened. However, not a single hunter greeted our sight. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing, but when a familiar scent hit my nose, I nearly lost my mind.
"Aubrey," I called her name and looked to the left. I saw a door and rushed there. It led to a staircase that goes down, and I was sure that Aubrey was there because her vanilla scent wafted through my nose.
"Follow me!" I yelled, and half of them followed me downstairs while the other kept scout. Upon reaching the last step, a door greeted me once more. I didn't hesitate to open it because I could smell Aubrey from here.
And so, with one loud bang, I kicked the door open and muttered, "Aubrey..."
