The following day.
Carmen and I were setting up the training equipment this morning when my Uncle came over and thanked Carmen and me for all the work we were doing and said that we were a great help to the team and that all the players enjoyed working with us. He then gave us a rundown of what was to come. He explained that if we won the next game, we would be going with the club to assist them on their overseas trip and games. The next game was this Friday night, and currently, it was Tuesday. My uncle walked away, to take a phone call. We still had a few minutes before the players would commence their training when Pedri jogged over to us.
"Hey Carmen, Hey Y/N", he said.
"Hey", we said in unison.
"Um, I just thought I'd see how you were", he said looking at the bruise on my nose. "Are you feeling better?"
"I am thanks, it doesn't hurt too much". I told him.
The rest of the players started walking onto the pitch.
"Okay...good. Well I guess I better go now". He walked away.
A lot of the players came up to check in on me.
As we walked to the benches, Carmen said "Nice of Pedri to check up on you. He was so worried yesterday, he felt really bad".
"Oh yeah, it's ok". I said. I had already told her last night over text that he paid for the food and drove me home.
"No Y/N, like he felt really bad." She looked at me, her eyes wide. "You do know he was the one who carried you into the nurse's office yesterday?"What?
I did not know that."Oh...Uh..." I didn't know what to say.
"And as I was leaving for my dentist appointment, I ran into him in the hallway and he looked genuinely guilty. He asked me how you were, and it was clear he was really worried".
Wow. I knew he felt bad, but I didn't know he had that much of a heart.
