It had been a few weeks since I found out about Pedri's feelings toward me, and I was doing my best to move on.

Pedri had officially started dating that girl, Isabel, and she was a model. She would often pick up Pedri from training and came to a match against Sevilla last week.

It was now nearing towards the end of practice, and my uncle was dismissing the players.
I waved goodbye to Carmen and Gavi, who were going on a date tonight.

I was getting my bag, and ready to head home, when my uncle shouted my name.
I walked towards him and saw who he was standing with.
Pedri.

I tried to keep my cool. I avoided looking at him at all costs.

"Mija, your aunty and I have Asia's PTA meeting tonight. So, I need you to stay back and train with Pedri."

No. No. No. No. No.
This couldn't be happening.

I so badly wanted to flat-out refuse and say I couldn't, but after all, this was my job, and I had too much respect for my uncle. So, I had to remain professional.

I didn't say anything. Neither did Pedri.

"It'll just be for an hour or two," My uncle continued. "Here are the exercises I need you guys to go over." He handed me a clipboard of all the tasks we had to do.

Once my uncle left, the stadium was empty.
There was quite literally no one in the vicinity except me and him.

"Let's get this over with," I said, looking at the list. I didn't even look up.

I read out what we had to do, and Pedri nodded.
We began the first exercise. Neither of us spoke.

I hated every second of this.
I was shaking on the inside and felt like a nervous wreck.
But I couldn't show him that.
I had already shared too much when I thought we were 'friends'. The fact that it took me a lot to open up, and I felt comfortable around him, only for him to switch up just because he was scared to deal with how he felt, hurt me beyond words.

I had to bite my tongue, even though there were questions I was dying to know the answers to.
