PEDRI'S POV!
PEDRI'S POV!

I walked into the party with Gavi, and most of the boys were already there.
Jules, Ansu, Ferran, and Alejandro were getting some drinks.
I grabbed a white claw and sat with the guys.
The party was looking full. It was filled with players from other clubs, and their girlfriends, friends, and other people. Everyone was around our age, and it was fun.

Alejandro was on his phone when I caught a peek.
Y/N's Instagram story popped up. It was a mirror selfie of her and Carmen.

Then, suddenly (and coincidentally) they walked in.
I have to admit...she looked good.

"Y/N, Carmen", Ferran shouted, "Over here".
The girls made their way towards us, giving a few of the guy's hugs, and waving and smiling at the rest.

I tried to take my eyes off her, but I felt like I was failing.
I was also looking at the slight bruise on her nose.
It had faded a lot, and her makeup covered what was left, but it was still slightly noticeable.
I hated myself for that. It was a complete accident, and everyone knew it. But the fact that she was hurt, and that I was the one responsible for it....it ruined me just a little.

She glanced at me, and we held eye contact for a few seconds.
She looked away.
I felt like she hated me, and I don't blame her. I had unnecessarily been a massive dick to her. But what for? Why did I act this way toward her?
I don't think I had a reason why.
I apologized, but there was still something weird between us.
I didn't know what it was....

The night went on, and Jules and I were talking to two girls for a while.
I could see her from the other side of the room talking to a guy.

Not this prick, I thought to myself.
I knew exactly who he was.
Diego, his name was.
And he was NOT a good guy.
I saw them laughing together.
I felt my jaw tighten.
I needed to get her away from him. I need to talk to Carmen.

Carmen and Gavi were sitting and talking on the couch.
It was obvious she feels some type of way toward him.
And I knew for a fact, what he thought of her.
He was my best friend after all. And he was a very confident guy, nothing ever made him shy, but for some reason, the only time I had ever seen him nervous apart from any match we were playing, was any mention of Carmen's name, or whenever he was around her.

I excused myself from Jules and the two girls and made my way to Carmen and Gavi. "Hey guys, sorry to interrupt. Carmen", I said. "Do you know who Y/N's talking to?" I tilted my head in their direction.
Carmen and Gavi both turned their heads. Y/N and Diego sat very closely, smiling at each other.
"Uh no, I don't. But I think she's having fun." Carmen smiled at me.
I was too focused on Y/N and Diego to say anything back. Gavi noticed.
"Hey man," He said. "Well keep an eye on them." Gavi nodded, reassuring me.
"Yeah, she's my best friend. I'll make sure she's fine always", Carmen smiled at me.
"Ok", I said. I took a deep breath.
"Thanks, Pedri, for looking out" she smiled.
I nodded.

I went into the kitchen to get another drink when I saw Y/N and Diego holding hands and making their way into the backyard.
I didn't like where this was going.
I waited a minute, but then made the decision that I should follow them.
This guy was bad news, and I knew it.

It was dark in the backyard, with only one light on, and no one else except those two.
