Dazai was sitting on a bench in Yokohama's local park, the sounds of kids laughing and playing together, the soft evening light breezes in the air, and the traffic made Dazai feel relaxed. Even though tomorrow, the Detective Agency was going to war with Fydor and the rats. Dazai didn't know if he'll have tomorrow, so he wants to make the best out of today. He snapped out of his thoughts as a figure was walking up to him, it was his former Port Mafia partner, Chuya Nakahara.

"Hey there Chibi! Long time no see." Dazai got up standing in front of his former short partner, "Hey, why'd you wanna meet with me?" "Follow me." Dazai started walking towards the park area, where the grass was growing vividly, trees swaying side to side. Dazai led them to a large Magnolia grandiflora with other Magnoilas growing around the large tree. They both lay down in the grass, Chuya took off his hat resting it next to him, and a sigh escaped his lips. "Hard day at work?" "Yeah, what about you? I heard damning rumors your agency is fighting the Rats tomorrow." Chuya looked at his former partner, brunette hair fell in Dazai's face as his eyes were glued on the sky above him. "Yeah, we plan to take them down tomorrow." It was silent between them, Chuya got an ache of anxiety in his stomach while Dazai was calm as a butterfly.

"I'm guessing the Port Mafia isn't taking action tomorrow?" Dazai asked breaking the silence between them. "No, I'm pretty sure he isn't. He would have informed me and the other executives." Dazai noted Chuya's words, "Dazai." "What's up?" "If you need me tomorrow, I'm here you know. I'll lend my strength to you." Dazai's trance broke and he looked at his former partner, Chuya's blue eyes meant his brunette eyes. "I know Chuu. I appreciate it and keep it in mind." Dazai smiled to reassure him. "Hey, tomorrow after the battle let's meet here. Just us and we'll meet under this Magnolia tree, okay?" Chuya stared at him with a blank expression, "Okay, but I have to attend meetings in the day you know, and possible late-night missions."

Dazai grabbed Chuya's hand, "I know Mr. Executive of the Port Mafia. When you finish all that just come here okay?" Chuya looked at their hands together, then back at his former partner, "Alright. I'll be here then." "Perfect." Dazai let go of Chuya's hand and got up, "I'm gonna take off Chuu, I'll see you later." "Don't get yourself killed shitty Dazai. And, if you need me I'm one call away." Chuya smiled and sat up against the tree's stem. "Of course Chibi. See you." "See you." Chuya's voice trailed off as Dazai's figure slowly disappeared, leaving Chuya by himself under the tree.

The following day Chuya was called into an emergency meeting with Mori and the other executives. He took his seat next to fellow executive and mentor, Kōyō. Mori took his seat and the meeting began. "I was unaware of the ongoing war with the Rats and the Detective Agency. We will not be collaborating in this war, this is the Agency and Rat's personal war. We are not to interfere." Mori finished his statement, and his purple eyes shot at Chuyas. "The only expectation is for Chuya here. You are Dazai's triumph card." "Understood boss," Mori smirked devilishly like the twisted devil he was. "Meeting dismissed then."

"Hey, boss." Chuya remained in his seat, "Hmm? What is it Chuya?" "Who do you think will come out on top after the battle? The Agency or Rats?" Chuya looked at his boss, Mori had a confused expression. "The Agency most likely." The sun was setting behind the Yokohama bridge, and Chuya was laying down under the large Magnolia grandiflora tree waiting for Dazai. Minutes turned into hours, and the moon and stars were out. He sighed and rested his hat over his face, "I'm sure that asshole wouldn't care if I shut my eyes for a few." Chuya closed his eyes and drifted off into a slumber. A couple more hours went by, it was currently four in the morning but still dark out.

Chuya woke up from his slumber finding himself alone. He fell back asleep resting his hat back over his face until morning. Once the sun was out, he got up and went to the Mafia's headquarters for work. He worked a couple of hours in his office submitting reports to Mori and attending minor meetings with other Port Mafia members. Once his day finished, he made his way back to the large Magnolia grandiflora tree. The sun was behind the Yokohama bridge, the evening breezes blew through Chuya's light crisp ginger hair. He sighed seeing the empty tree, he lay down under the tree and eventually fell asleep under there.

Hours passed by and Chuya was still by himself under the tree. The sun came out causing Chuya to wake up, he looked around his surroundings no sight of Dazai anywhere. He let a sigh escape his lips and made his way to Mafia's headquarters. "Come in," Mori called from his desk chair, Chuya walked into Mori's office. "Boss, I finished my report on my mission last week in the west." "Perfect, thank you Chuya." "Hey boss," Chuya asked while placing his report on Mori's desk. "Hm? What is it?" "Is there any update on the fight with the Agency and rats?" "I haven't received any word." "I see. I'll be taking my leave now." Mori remained silent as he watched Chuya leave his office.

The sun was setting behind the Yokohama bridge, the sky was pink. Chuya sat by the same Magnolia grandiflora tree, he had been there since two in the afternoon. He sighed stuffing his phone back into his pocket, "This asshole isn't coming tonight, I should just head to my place and sleep on my goddamn bed."

Chuya scoffed and got up, he noticed a weak figure walking towards him limping. Dazai was walking towards Chuya with a smile on his bleeding face, he was holding onto a fatal wound on his right side, and blood was still dripping out of it. "Did I keep you waiting? I'm sorry Chibi..." Dazai stopped in his tracks, he was a few inches away from Chuya. He fell forwards passing out from too much blood loss. "Hey! Damn it!" Chuya rushed to his side catching him in time before he hit the ground. "You kept your promise," Chuya mumbled and took Dazai to his apartment to fix his wounds.
