The sun was bright as ever in the lovely city of Yokohama, Kunikida, Dazai, Atsushi and Ranpo were heading to their next job. Once they arrived at a vacant two-story home, Ranpo gently pushed open the door. "Miss Rosaline?" Ranpo called out walking into the empty house, the others followed him inside. "Something is weird here," Dazai mumbled observing the floors and walls. "Hey guys, there's a note in the kitchen." Kunikida noticed and pointed into the kitchen area. There was a small brown dusty wooden table in the middle of the room, with a fresh paper note.
They all walked over to the kitchen, and Kunikida grabbed the note. "Dear Detective Agency, they have found me. I had no choice but to run away. I apologize." Below them, the floor cracked and broke open causing them all to fall into the abyss. They all landed on top of each other. "Jesus, what the hell happened?!" Kunikida got up looking around, there was nothing but darkness. He pulled out his notebook and used his ability to create a flashlight.
He switched it on and looked around with the light source. "It seems we are in a cave." Dazai got up groaning, "How is that possible?" "No idea." Ranpo leaned against the rock wall, "Guys, I'm not getting any service down here..." Atsushi held up his cell phone to show them. "What do we do now? Our client got scared and ran away, and now we're down here in the pits of hell." Ranpo sighed waiting for someone to come up with a plan. The cave was silent for a few moments until Kunikida spoke up, "Let's look around for clues, an exit, or anything at all." "There." Ranpo pointed down an empty dark passageway, "I'll go check it out. Leave it to me, the bravest one here!"
Ranpo smirked pushing his glasses up, "Here." Kunikida gave Ranpo his flashlight, he thanked his coworker and headed down the passageway by himself. "Do you think Ranpo is gonna be okay?" Atsushi asked out of concern, "Yep. He'll be okay." Dazai gave Atsushi a comforting smile to reassure him. Kunikida, Atsushi, and Dazai waited what seemed like years for Ranpo to return, finally, they heard footsteps getting closer to them.
They all stood up with hopeful thoughts that Ranpo had found a way out of the cave. "Ranpo. Thank goodness your okay." Kunikida sighed in relief, they all noticed that Ranpo didn't have his flashlight. Dazai chuckled, "Ranpo, don't scare us like that." "Don't I scare you?" It wasn't Ranpo. Dazai, Atsushi, and Kunikida prepared themselves to fight him. "That's my specialty." A smirk appeared across his face, "Chuya." Dazai mumbled, "What did you do to Ranpo?!" Kunikida yelled. Dazai walked up to Chuya, they were two to three inches apart from each other. "Answer the question Chuya." He smirked in response, "Repeat it jackass." Dazai grabbed his knife from his coat pocket putting it against Chuya's neck, "You know the question."
Chuya chuckled and looked at his former partner, "I came here because my guys found a body belonging to some woman named Rosaline. Her last known location was here, so I came to investigate. I saw the hole in the kitchen floor which, I'm guessing you dumbasses all fell through. I noticed a figure down there and I got him out. I'm not here for games Dazai." Everyone fell silent, but Chuya's smirk remained on his face. "So, you got Ranpo out of this cave?" Kunikida spoke up, "I guess if he's the one with glasses and a hat." "You will help all of us escape now." Chuya laughed at Dazai's request. "Haha! Do you still think I'm your dog?! You left the Mafia, I don't work for you anymore asshole." Dazai pushed the knife against Chuya's throat, "Fine." Chuya growled annoyedly, Dazai lowered his knife putting it away. "Aw heh. Seems you lost your touch Dazai." Chuya said and started walking down the passageway, the others followed behind him.
Once they reached the hole which they fell from. Ranpo peeked his head down seeing them all, "Hey guys! I found another clue from Rosaline!" He shouted, Chuya looked over at Dazai, "Are you working the Rosaline case as well?" "Yep." Chuya used his ability and picked up the Agency members floating them up to the house. Once everyone was safe and they left the house to continue their investigation. "Fuck the Agency," Chuya mumbled and sat down under a tree nearby the abandoned house, he pulled out a cigarette and his cell phone to report to his boss, Mori.
Dazai sat down next to him. Chuya looked at him and shot him a glare, "Are you even going to thank me you, bastard? I saved you and your dumbass friend's lives down there. Not one single thank you." Chuya hissed out angrily. "Thank you Chuu," Dazai said leaning his head on the stem of the tree. Chuya was slightly taken back, he sighed and dug in his pocket, and offered Dazai a cigarette. He took it from Chuya's hands, Chuya lit his cigarette then Dazai's cigarette. "So, are you gonna share information about the investigation now?" Dazai looked at Chuya, and a smile appeared on his face, "Are you working this case alone?" "Yeah." "Here's what I know so far..."
