Age 18:
"Hey Chibi!" Dazai jumped on Chuya's back, "Hey! Get off of me asshole!" Chuya hissed but didn't fight Dazai. "I'm so bored. Oda is out taking care of something, and I'm just so bored without him." Chuya didn't respond for a moment, "Go chase after him if you're worried about him." "I'm with you though." "Dazai, I think Oda is fine, shouldnt you be looking into Ango? He's a traitor to the Mafia." "Oh, did you find that out today at the meeting?" Dazai asked still on Chuya's back, Chuya pressed the elevator button waiting for a ride, "Yeah, I'm not surprised." "What do you mean?" Dazai jumped off of Chuya's back and stood next to him, "I meant, I'm surprised Ango is the traitor, but I'm not surprised there would be a traitor in an organization like this. You know?" Chuya looked at Dazai, and Dazai seemed to understand his point. The elevator doors opened and they both walked inside it.
"Hey, are you free tonight?" Chuya raised an eyebrow, "Yeah why?" "I and Oda usually go to this fancy bar after work, you should join us tonight." Dazai offered with a huge grin on his face, "Uh, sure I guess." "Wonderful!" Dazai cheered and put his arm around Chuya. The sunset in Yokohama and the bright moon came out shining down on the city. Dazai and Chuya were walking down the dark foggy alleyway to Lupins, Dazai opened the door and walked downstairs, Oda was already there sipping on his alcoholic beverage. "Hey, Dazai." "Hey, Oda! I brought Chuya with us tonight, he said he had nothing to do in his boring life." "Why you piece of!" Chuya hissed but Oda cut him off, "Nice to meet you, Chuya Nakahara. I've heard stories about you from Dazai and others." Chuya's cheeks heated up with Oda's words, the two took their seats on the bar stools and the bartender served them whiskey in a crystal glass and a large circular ice cube.
Chuya and Dazai talked about the first time they meant and the whole mission itself, then Oda spoke about his day and doing smaller tasks for the Mafia. All three of them chatted the night away, finally, it was eleven at night in Yokohama, "Hey, I'm gonna head out for the night. I'll see you guys later. It was nice getting to know you, Chuya. Dazai." Oda took his coat off the rack and left the bar. "He's a nice guy," Chuya said and sipped on his third glass of whiskey, Dazai smiled and turned himself to face Chuya.
"I'm glad I brought you tonight, I really wanted you to meet him." Chuya raised an eyebrow, "Chuya, I have an intuition that something bad is coming." "What do you mean?" "Whatever troubles Oda is in, Ango himself. Something is coming, I think the Mafia is in trouble." "Well shit." Chuya looked down at his empty whiskey glass, "I don't wanna lose the Mafia, this place is family to me." "I know Chibi-" "And, I can't lose you either shitty Dazai." Chuya cut him off, Dazai's eyes widen, and he found himself blushing. "Heh, are you drunk Chibi?" Chuya didn't answer, "No." He finally responded, "Dazai, if we need to go to war or fight some gifted bastards or whatever the fuck Ango is tied up in. Promise me, you'll let me know and we can use Double Black. We'll fight the bastards together." Chuya looked at Dazai, together they made a powerful duo. Dazai smiled, "I promise Chibi."
A few days later, Oda fought the leader of Mimic both lost their lives. That day, Dazai vanished from the Port Mafia. Nobody received any word from Dazai since.
Age 23 (Current Day):
The skies were a dark shade of pink, the sun was setting behind the bridge in Yokohama. Chuya was strolling in a local park smoking a pack of cigarettes, he had a busy day at the Mafia's headquarters attending meetings and more meetings. Now, finally, he has a break. He leaned on the railing to the ocean below watching the water move in different directions, the sea life thriving underwater.
A memory popped into his head, the time Dazai took him to an aquarium. He had the best time of his life, he enjoyed every second of it. Admiring all the creatures, joking around with Dazai. He remembered smiling the entire time. Chuya smiled to himself and exhaled a ring of smoke. "I wonder if that bastard is still alive," Chuya muttered under his breath. Suddenly his phone rang, it was his boss Mori.
Chuya sighed, his peace and quiet were interrupted. He picked it up, "Boss?" "Chuya, we just received word that our enemies are making a move tonight. We need you on the front lines." "I see, alright I'll be on my way then." "Excellent." Chuya hung up stuffing his phone down in his coat pocket, "God damn it. I just want this day to be over." He started to head off to his mission. Suddenly, he bumped into the person in front of him. Chuya caught his balance and so did the other stranger, "My apologies." The stranger spoke up, and Chuya recognized his voice. It couldn't be, could it?
Chuya slowly raised his head to look at the man. Bandages around his neck, crisp mysterious brunette hair, and dark romantic brown eyes. It was him. "It's you." Chuya spoke, "Chuya?" Dazai's brunette eyes widen upon seeing his former Port Mafia partner standing in front of him. Chuya felt a tear drop followed by another teardrop drip down his face, he wiped his tear with his black glove. "Chuya, it's been so long," Dazai spoke up, he gently wiped Chuya's other cheek for him.
Chuya was astonished, he used his other hand to lower his hat a bit. "I was looking down at the ocean a few moments ago and it reminded me of the time I took you to the local aquarium." Dazai lightly laughed, "Remember that?" "Yeah." Chuya finally spoke up, "I was just thinking about that too." Dazai smiled and gently pecked Chuya's cheek. His warm lips touched Chuya's damp cheeks with tear stains. "I won't keep you, I bet you have some work to do. I'll leave you to it Chibi. See you around!" Dazai walked past him soon his figure vanishing amongst people. Chuya remained in the same position not moving an inch, "Dazai..." He mumbled under his breath.
