"I love you..." You whispered and leaned close, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. It caught him by surprise, but he quickly kissed back. It was supposed to be a sweet...
𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍'𝐓 let go of memories because they are constant reminders of a great story that we never expected to end. At least, not in the ways that it did. Especially so tragically. Letting go sounds easy, but as human beings, it is probably one of the hardest things we will ever have to do. It takes an immense amount of courage to be able to say goodbye to someone, who once meant an internal flame in a frosty winter, to you.
Never allow past relationships and old mistakes ruin your future. Don't allow someone that didn't make it in your life, continue hurting you. If you do, you are giving a portion of your life to someone that should no longer exist in it. It would be as if allowing demons to take you because you do not see the angels burning for you. Learn the lesson, release the pain, and move on. Scars remind us of where we have been, not where we are headed. And definitely not where we stay.
If you continue carrying the bricks of your part, you will build the same house. Leave your past foregone, it will disrupt your future. Live for what the present day has to offer whether good or bad, not for what the day before has already taken away.
It is deceitful to yourself to hold onto people because of the joyous memories they once brought you in the beginning. If you do, the misery will build up in your heart and start running through your veins until it consumes you. Having the strength to say goodbye to who you used to love is a skill to learn that is not easy, but very healing.
This was a skill you, being human, struggled with mastering, much like many others. Significantly, it was continually hard for you to move on from the many troubles of your past. Of course, you have finally reached the point where you are able to slowly move on from the problems with your biological father. But a glimpse of the past you did not expect to come up was your ex.

It was the day before the Provisional License. For the last week, you've been training nonstop to make sure your Ultimate Moves were crisp. It was not the easiest thing, but you didn't complain. Not out loud or in front of people, at least. Although, you definitely wanted to. But it wasn't like you were bothered by it, coming up with Ultimate Moves pushed you to train and work harder. Which is what you were driven doing.
As of currently, you and Rufaro were at the mall. The two of you had spent the week hanging out and catching him up with each other It was nice, being able to speak face to face. It had been so long since you seen him before this. And you weren't in contact either for a year, so you were happy to catch up with each other's lives.
