A woman, adored by all and saved for one, was known to her people as Shari Khosian, the leader of the Khosian Coven. The Khosian Coven, otherwise known as the Original Family, are a family connected through the first gifted with power, their name unknown. The Khosian Coven was easily recognized by their dark skin, striking eyes, honorable manners, and strong capabilities.

In the beginning, only the Khosian Coven was favored for extraordinary abilities, passed down from generation to generation. And it was said that the Khosian Coven were so kind and gracious, they gifted the world abilities of their own. A slow spread that gradually grew with each generation.

The story of how the first Quirk user achieved such power, legend to posses all the power of the world before they died, was accurately unknown. The true story was written in a scroll, in the possession of the Khosian Coven palace, hidden somewhere within the walls. But it was said to be destroyed once a terrible accident occurred one tragic night.

"I do not wish to stay sitting all night." I, Shari Khoisan, a woman of dark skin, sharp eyes, and the height of the average man, spoke softly. I gazed upon myself in the large mirror before me, admiring my clothing and speaking in a accident language. "I refuse to be so left out and watching everyone else enjoy themselves like a lost cub without its family."

"You are not a lost cub, you will be with family. All of your family." A woman of lighter skin reassured me, a smile on her face as she fixed the clothing I wore. "Shari, your highness, you would be sitting for your own safety. You do not wish to trouble your leg further, do you? It is already mad that you are even doing this, knowing your pains."

"You wear too much concern, Mandisa." I smiled and watched my most trusted servant and friend style my hair. "My leg is not terribly troubled. It is not maddening to want to enjoy myself with my family and people. It is a small pain, very bearable."

"Not long from now, you were not able to stand from your bed and was bedridden. That is much to worry about, your highness. I think your husband would agree. He was terribly upset with your decision to go along with tonight."

"My husband is not Queen."

In the Khosian Coven, it was believed that women were natural born leaders. It was women who were protectors, the most intelligent, the best huntresses, the wisest, more empathetic and the nurturers. Men were too simple minded, they could not be trusted with power, they would quickly abuse it.

The woman of their family held the power. The woman held the title, the strength and the intelligence. It was women who were strong enough to bare the children to create more love in their Coven. And it was the women who were first gifted with power first, before gifting it to their sons. So, it was the women who held the instinct and power to protect their Coven. Therefore, we were the leaders.
