"I love you..." You whispered and leaned close, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. It caught him by surprise, but he quickly kissed back. It was supposed to be a sweet...
𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 about wedding that brought family together, almost like a reunion. Well, in some way, it was a reunion. Family, some you haven't seen in years, some you forgot even existed, some you cut out of your life, and some you speak to ever so often— all come together for the union between two people. Two people they hadn't thought about until that very moment and still feel entitled.
Niari Patterson and Shouta Aizawa are soon to be wedded. The wedding was not particularly large, but it was also not small either. Niari had a number of family on her side that would be invited, some she did not care for but wanted to show off her sexy, rich husband-to-be. And what better way to do that, than to have all the guests stay a fancy hotel, where the wedding would be held, paid by her rich Hero husband.
Granted, originally she wanted the guest to pay for their own hotel rooms while she paid for their tickets. But Shouta decided to drive the "sexy, rich husband-to-be" and paid for everything for her to show off. Of course, despite how petty she is, she did offer to pay, but he refused. He was petty, too.
It was decided by the Bride and Groom to have their bachelor and bachelorette party together. To them, they were not celebrating their last night of being single because they weren't single. So, they combined the parties together and decided to throw big party at one of the locations provided by the hotel.
It was a large venue, nicely decorated and organized by you to for both the Bride and Groom's standards. Few by few, everyone started arriving to the event, where music was being blasted on speakers. It was early afternoon, the day had started not that many hours ago.
Up in one of the hotel rooms, you were finishing getting ready for the party. Your boyfriend, who was also invited to the wedding with his mother, sat on the bed. He watched you stand in front of a cheval mirror, gazing at your outfit as you put on your earrings. You were giving him the run down on your Indian side of the family, he was already very familiar with your African side.
"My aunt, Advaita, is the oldest of my biological father's siblings. She's not mean per se, she's just very old school with her beliefs. It time for her to accept my mother and bio father's relationship because she didn't believe in interracial couples. But she was okay after sometime since my father is mixed, and when she did, her and my mom were close. She helped my mom and us learn Hindu culture, and chose our Indian names because my father wouldn't." Izuku was surprised to learn this, he didn't know much about your Indian family. "Her and my mom started getting distant because Advaita didn't like that they got a divorce. She tried to fix it by sending my dad to rehab and therapy for his addictions and mental issues. I assumed it worked, he's all regretful now. But my mom, for obvious reasons, didn't care and filed for sole custody of us, and won. Advaita understood my mom's decision for divorce, but she couldn't accept it."
