"I love you..." You whispered and leaned close, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. It caught him by surprise, but he quickly kissed back. It was supposed to be a sweet...
𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍 the first game or battle, whichever is preferred to call all of this chaos, you and Todoroki walked through the Ground Gamma area of the battlefield. Ground Gamma consists of an industrial site compiled by many factories that form a labyrinth. The labyrinth contains tons of heavy machinery including cranes and pipelines.
For a small while, the two of you walked in comfortable silence. Something you genuinely liked about Todoroki was how he would never try to fill the silence unless it was necessary. With him, you could do your own thing while enjoying his presence.
Perhaps that's why you two never had many conversations together. All the times you've sent together, in class or studying or sitting together— there wasn't many words exchanged. And that was because none was needed, you didn't have to speak to enjoy your friendship. Weirdly enough, that's what made you friends.
But to ever truly grow as friends, you understood that at one point you two would need to have a real conversation outside of school or heroic work. That's something you both seemed to have realized. Oddly enough, despite you taking the initiative to walk with him, Todoroki took the initiative to start a conversation.
"You know, don't you?" Todoroki suddenly asked as you walked through the pipes together. He noticed that his words weren't specific enough for you to understand, so he added on. "About my dad. You know how he is. Don't you?"
With a simple nod of your head, you responded. "Yes, I do know." You had known for a while. Not because anyone told you, but because you were observant enough to catch on.
"How?" Just like you had known about his dad for a while, he had known you knew for a while. He could tell through your actions. He appreciated that although you knew, you never pestered him about it. "How do you know?"
"I could see the signs." In short. "You're quiet and reserved, not just because you're introverted, but because you have things to hide and not much to say. You don't know how to be social, you never learned. You don't understand how to open up, nor do you know what to say when you do. You're unhinged but in a literal way, you don't understand sarcasm or figurative humor and speaking. You're scared of certain parts of yourself, not just physical like your Quirk or scar, but inner parts of yourself, like your mind and emotions. You're disconnected socially. You're intelligent educationally but not socially. You think more than you speak. You're often in your mind but you don't have a big imagination."
For a few seconds you paused after naming many things that you had noticed about him. All from just watching, from observing. "Like I said, I could see the signs. And there were many. For others— the average teenager— most of that isn't noticeable. But for me, it is."
