Chapter 19: A Threatening Proposal

At around ten o'clock in the morning, Gu Siyu had just finished getting dressed after a satisfying sleep when she heard someone knocking at her door. She walked over and looked through the peephole to see two unfamiliar women outside.

Gu Siyu didn't immediately open the door. She asked, "Who are you looking for?"

The person outside replied, "Hello, is this Miss Gu? Miss Huo ordered several sets of clothes from our store and asked us to deliver them to you."

Gu Siyu remembered this and opened the door. Two staff members were standing outside. She casually turned on the nearby light, making the room much brighter.

The two staff members were a little stunned to see the situation in the room. The older salesperson had more experience and was used to all kinds of rich people's quirks, including their mistresses. She quickly regained her composure. The expression on the face of the newer staff member, however, annoyed Gu Siyu. She said, "With your attitude, you're still doing door-to-door service?"

The older staff member quickly gestured to the newer staff member to apologize. Gu Siyu didn't accept it and sneered, "Just go back and tell Miss Huo that I'm not interested. I've seen your brand in magazines, and it's pretty bad."

The two staff members were stunned.

Gu Siyu sarcastically said, "Blame me. I didn't make it clear to her which brand I wanted, and you came here for nothing."

Both of their faces changed. The older staff member awkwardly smiled and tried to please her, "It's our fault. Miss Huo also said that you can choose whatever you like. If you don't like these styles, we can exchange them for new ones, or I can take you to the store. The car is outside."

"Okay, I won't go to your store. You can make ten more trips first." Gu Siyu looked back at them with a contemptuous expression. "Why are you still standing here? Can't you understand human language?"

"Ah, okay."

The two of them came and left within five minutes, feeling quite confused and frustrated. The soundproofing in the room was poor, and they could hear the older staff member scolding the new staff member. Gu Siyu vented her anger on the new staff member.

Gu Siyu went to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Honestly, she felt that the most useful thing her parents had given her from childhood to adulthood was her face.

But she couldn't stand the trash of judging people by their looks, always thinking that she was born to rely on men for a living. If she dressed nicely, she was considered an indecent woman.

Sometimes Gu Siyu wonders what's wrong with her. They are both called "Miss," but Miss Huo is a noble young lady while she is a lowly "Miss Gu."

Anyway, it's not her problem, it's those who despise her that are lowly.

When Gu Siyu is unhappy, she will vent her frustration. If someone makes her unhappy, she will find a way to get back at them. She is quite calculating. She wanted to call the company and give feedback about those two salesgirls, but she didn't see their work badges at the time.

Gu Siyu tidied herself up, tied up her hair high, and applied lipstick to herself. The red lipstick made her feel like she had fiery red lips.

After leaving the residential area, she called a car. The driver played the radio and complained, "Even though the heavy rain has stopped, why is it still so congested? Miss, you can get out and walk a few steps."

"No, I'm not in a hurry. You can drive slowly," said Gu Siyu, who preferred to sit and chat randomly with Huo Junxian on her phone.

Huo Junxian didn't give her a definite answer, neither accepting nor rejecting, but talked around the issue like doing Tai Chi.
