Gu Siyu returned from outside and handed Huo Junxian a cotton candy stick.

It was a swirl of various colors, resembling a rainbow roll. But it was far from what Huo Junxian had been expecting, leaving her glancing behind Gu Siyu.

Gu Siyu asked, "What's wrong? Don’t you like it?"

It wasn’t that she didn’t like it, but the gap between her expectations and reality was too big, making it hard for her to accept at first.

"Let’s order," Gu Siyu said, wiping her hands with a wet tissue.

Huo Junxian looked down at the menu, as did Gu Siyu. After a while, Gu Siyu looked up at her, noticing a hint of resentment in Huo Junxian’s eyes.

"What’s really wrong?" Gu Siyu asked, puzzled.

"Nothing," Huo Junxian replied, continuing to look at the menu.

After they ordered, Huo Junxian’s gaze remained outside the window, watching the various people walking by on the street. She leaned a bit closer to the window, noticing someone leaving a store with flowers, their face beaming with happiness.

It made her envious, she thought.

"Miss, your food is here," the waiter said as they brought over the dishes.

Gu Siyu moved the water glass on the table aside, and the dishes gradually filled the table. Huo Junxian picked up her chopsticks and tasted a dish.

"How is it?"

"It’s okay," Huo Junxian replied, her expression flat. She then asked, "Did you really go all the way there just to get me a cotton candy?"

Just then, a waiter pushed a cart over, and from it, they took out a bouquet of flowers, saying, "Miss Huo, these are flowers sent to you by a lady."

"Huh?" Huo Junxian turned her head.

The waiter handed her the flowers, and she reached out to accept them—a large bouquet of roses and sweetbrier, all blooming beautifully.

Gu Siyu held back a laugh, teasingly saying, "I treat you to dinner, and you look so unhappy. But when someone sends you flowers, you’re all smiles. Are the flowers more valuable than the food I ordered?"

"Yes."

"Receiving flowers is a very romantic thing," Huo Junxian said, gently playing with the petals, a smile replacing the earlier resentment.

She placed the flowers by the window, lightly stroking the petals with her fingertips. After admiring them, she picked up her chopsticks and began tasting the appetizers.

Gu Siyu took in her smile and the joy she showed while receiving the flowers, feeling a warmth in her heart. She asked, "So, does this meet your expectations this time?"

Huo Junxian replied, "The flowers smell wonderful."

"And the food?"

"Strictly speaking, with the added charm of the flowers, the food also tastes better."

Gu Siyu chuckled softly, thinking that Huo Junxian could be quite adorable at times, making it hard not to steal a few extra glances at her.

"I should’ve taken you out for hotpot," Gu Siyu said.

"Why?" Huo Junxian asked, puzzled.

"So I could show you some noodle-throwing tricks. The staff might even congratulate you when they see you receive the flowers, wishing you a happy married."

Huo Junxian pursed her lips and couldn’t help but smile again.

"That would be so embarrassing."

"But it would make you really happy, wouldn’t it?" Gu Siyu asked her.
