"Don't talk nonsense. I was taking you to the police station!" Jin Yuansen was so angry that his nose almost went crooked. He adjusted his glasses, glanced down, saw Huo Junxian and Gu Siyu holding hands, and said, "Are you two conspiring against me? Trying to frame me for kidnapping?"

Huo Junxian nodded. "You did kidnap her; she didn't want to go with you." As she spoke, she kept smiling at Gu Siyu, tightly squeezing her fingers, and everyone was watching their hands.

As it seemed another argument was about to erupt, an older police officer, having finished his instant noodles, approached and slammed his hand on the table, saying sternly, "What do you three think this is? Explain yourselves properly."

Gu Siyu sat on a chair, looking at him, feeling a strange sense of familiarity. After staring for a moment, she pulled her fingers back, but Huo Junxian held on tightly, reddening her fingertips. Gu Siyu said, "Yes, I wanted to run away. Jin Yuansen promised to take me away."
