In early October, Gu Siyu was able to get out of bed and walk, so she immediately switched to another hospital.

Her mental state looked good when she was awake, and she didn't show any sadness. The wound was in the healing phase, and during the day, she controlled herself. At night, she secretly picked at the wound.

Despite repeated warnings from the doctors that such actions could lead to deterioration, she ignored them. The doctors even threatened to tie her hands if she continued to scratch the wound.

Gu Siyu initially denied it but later became defiant. She challenged them to tie her hands and even threatened to complain if they did.

The doctors had no choice but to call Huo Junxian out for a discussion. They suggested that he take control of Gu Siyu or, if necessary, find a psychologist to examine her. They were concerned that she might have some psychological trauma, and the scratching might be more than just discomfort from the healing wound.

Their conversation was in hushed tones, but Gu Siyu, with her sharp ears, overheard. She retorted, "So now, if the hospital can't cure it, we just send everyone to a psychologist? Do psychologists cure all ailments?"

The doctor responded, "Can you control yourself from scratching your back? What's going on with you? You enjoyed your stay at the hospital so much that you don't want to leave?"

Gu Siyu remained silent.

The doctor continued, "Why are you so stubborn? You're the one who'll suffer."

Gu Siyu quietly replied, "I feel fine."

After the conversation, Huo Junxian returned to the room. Gu Siyu behaved normally, without her usual sharp tongue. She glanced at Huo Junxian, who was inserting a straw into a milk box. Gu Siyu swallowed hard.

Huo Junxian asked, "Don't you want to see a psychologist?"

The mention of a psychologist seemed to trigger something in Gu Siyu. She took a sip of milk and said, "Some psychologists are just arrogant, insisting on their own views. They don't understand whether they're 'saving' people or 'nurturing' them. They just distort others' perspectives and may even make those without problems develop issues."

Huo Junxian didn't argue. Gu Siyu's hostility likely stemmed from her childhood experiences with child psychologists, who focused more on education than on soothing her emotional distress. They instilled a sense of self-blame, deepening her psychological shadows.

Despite her tough exterior, Gu Siyu had managed to live a relatively normal life, avoiding illegal or retaliatory actions against society, thanks to the education from those psychologists. However, her psyche remained distorted, labeling herself as inferior and lowly, leaving behind lifelong nightmares, for which those psychologists shared responsibility.

As nightmares and shadows became part of Gu Siyu with age, she firmly believed that by avoiding them and not delving into the wounds, they would naturally heal over time.

"Alright, no need for a psychologist," Huo Junxian readily agreed.

Gu Siyu looked at her suspiciously, finding it hard to believe that Huo Junxian was being so accommodating.

Huo Junxian smiled at her with a doting look and said, "Do whatever makes you happy. If you're happy, that's all that matters."

Gu Siyu, feeling a warmth in her ears, turned to look out the window, took a deep sip of milk, and glanced at Huo Junxian from the corner of her eye. Why was Huo Junxian suddenly so kind and obedient?

Oh, right, she saved Huo Junxian's life; that's why Huo Junxian had to be good to her.

Lost in thought, Gu Siyu abruptly took a sip of milk and choked. Huo Junxian handed her a tissue. Gu Siyu turned her head, wiped her mouth haphazardly, and spoke in a lowered voice, "I really won't see a psychologist."
