Ka'eo walked into the Common area of the 144p Progenitor to sit down and collect himself in the homely feeling of the room. Mana followed him in after he successfully found and fixed the battery problems. Mana got the batteries recharging by using some of the main fuel supply and a centrifugal-force energy converter. Ka'eo was very lucky to have Mana aboard with him, since Mana knew quite a few tricks of the trade beyond welding and dismantling metals. His studies in astro-related fields, energies both natural and unnatural, and electrical logic gave him an edge in terms of fixing moderate ship problems alone.
Ka'eo and Mana both sat sweating from their hard work, also having scooted the fuel cells into the storage facility from the airlock. Ka'eo got up from his seat and grabbed some sodas for himself and Mana. "Mana, Coke or Pepsi?" Ka'eo asked him.
"Uhhh, neither. Do you have d$cks?" Mana joked.
"Yeah!" Ka'eo responded giddily. He made an unzipping sound with his mouth.
The two of them laughed at themselves, finding all the gay jokes to be absurdly funny and acceptable amongst the team.
"Pepsi. Give me one of those," Mana said.
"Yeah, here," Ka'eo said. "And have a d$ck opener with it."
"Aaaaww, no. We're not opening any d$cks yet, Ka'el," Mana said, lowering his voice ominously.
"How about... never, then?" Ka'eo responded.
Mana said, "Good, yeah, unless it's a woman, and... hey, when the f$ck are we going to see anyone else but ourselves? Without going back to H&G? Are we going back to the f$cking space station or... to see one of our commanding officers or something?"
"I don't want to go back there either, for now. Maybe later. Um, I plan on taking us back to a USF Spacebase so we can get some more briefings in, and relay and upload all of our intel, up close and personal," Ka'eo said.
"F$ck, you know that's why I want to go back there? So I can deliver my sperm up close and personal to some hot, space b$tches!" Mana replied.
Ka'eo declared, "Well, we may also have other plans, first, to go and visit a f$cking ice planet."
"What the hell? No! Ice planet?" Mana argued, disliking the idea.
"An ice planet, yes. We can check out their oil deposits, because apparently there used to be some dinosaur-like f$ckers over there, too," Ka'eo explained.
Mana cautioned, "Ka'el, you're going to get us killed with all these--random f$cking expeditions, man. We should just go back to the Starbase and launch from there with upgrades, briefings and Intel, and maybe some other personnel."
"I thought you don't want other people on the ship except for us?" Ka'eo checked in with Mana.
Mana defended, "It's getting kind of boring without having other people on board. Like, I like that we're together, you, me, Peter, and Stavro, but I don't like that it's only us for all these expeditions."
Ka'eo guessed it was because of their time at H&G Diamond Drilling Corp., cruising with Christopher on the asteroid. "You miss Chris, don't you?" Ka'eo inquired, grinning. He felt it would be a good thing for Mana to miss him.
"Huh? Christopher was cool, yeah, but like, if we could have more adventures?... With more people?... So that there's less of a chance of us getting f$cked over, only the four of us, that would be good, Ka'el," Mana answered. Mana did secretly harbor a feeling of missing Christopher, though it was very typical of him to protect how he truly felt.
Peter walked to the entrance of the Common room and snuck in his greeting with an aaaAAHD!
Mana got spooked quickly and laughed. He said, "You scared me, Peter."
"Yeah? Well, how about I do it again, then?" Peter asked jokingly.
Stavros walked up behind Peter, looking in at everyone. He waved with a big, exaggerated grin on his face as though he were crazy, prompting Mana to laugh.
"Oh, good morning. So you both finally decided to show up!" Ka'eo told them.
"Yeah! Now what the f$ck are you guys doing in here? Huh?! It's time... to work!" Peter exaggerated. He cackled.
Stavros said, "We never work, though, Peter," and sat down next to Mana at the round table. "We just get into trouble and then report it so that Space Force can feel uneasy about everything that we're doing! Right, Ka'eo?" He chuckled.
"Oh, yeah! Exactly! And we're about to do it again!" Ka'eo slithered loudly.
Peter cackled and said, "Yeah, and then--," trying to come up with another joke.
"Then we can all die!" Stavros concluded with a big smile, making Mana and Ka'eo chuckle.
"Yeah. They're young!" Peter said, queuing up everyone else to finish the quote with him: They'll learn!
They laughed.
