"So...you two are friends?" Chica asked. Bonnie nodded.

"We're good friends -"

"I am not his friend." Foxy cut in. Bonnie just scoffed.

"And we go WAY back -"

"I've never met him in my life." Foxy groaned. Chica giggled at their antics.

"And what about Freddy? Are you friends with him too?" She asked. Bonnie nodded.

"We go further back than Foxy and I. He's family to me." Bonnie smiled. Foxy nodded.

"We be...acquaintances-" Foxy said. They all turned to the sound of a knock on the stage.

Chica crawled over to pull back and the curtain, revealing Freddy. The bear chuckled awkwardly.

"I uhm...heard my name-?" He asked awkwardly.

"Yeah! I was just asking them if you guys are friends." Chica affirmed. Freddy simply nodded.

"You wanted to talk too, cap'n?" Foxy offered. The bear shook his head, suddenly growing nervous.

"A-actually, I needed to talk to Bonnie...alone." Freddy scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Bonnie blinked in surprise.

"Is that ok...?" Freddy glanced at him hopefully. Bonnie, now being placed on the spot, swallowed his pride and agreed.

"Y-yeah, that's fine." Bonnie slid off the stage to follow Freddy. The two walked down the hall in awkward silence, to which Bonnie broke.

"Where are we going-? There's nothing over here." Bonnie commented.

"There's a supply closet, it's the most isolated room here. I wanted a more private space." Freddy answered, walking ahead to a closed door and opening it for Bonnie to enter. The bunny hesitantly slipped into the tight space, and the bear followed after and shut the door.

Bonnie turned to face him and crossed his arms.

"What do you want?" He snapped. The bear sighed.

"Chica and I were talking...and I...I didn't mean to disregard you earlier...I'm sorry." Freddy glanced down. Bonnie just froze in awe.

The bear looked genuinely guilty... and Freddy was not usually one to apologize. The bunny sighed.

"I-it's fine, it just...it hurts, y'know-?" His voice shook.

"They just...put me behind you like you were the more important one. Even though I've been here just as long as you have! I-it made me feel less important..."

"And... when you just ignored me... it made me feel even worse -" he finished, wiping his eyes before any tears could fall. When he peeked back up at Freddy, the bear looked crushed in guilt.

"Oh, jeez... Bon, I'm so sorry!" He scooted closer and held the bunny's hands.

"That's not true at all! You are just as important as me. You mean everything to me!" He claimed. Bonnie just blinked in awe, so the bear continued.

"You've kept me going all of this time... we need you, Bonnie, I need you!" When he saw Bonnie tearing up again, Freddy's eyes widened in fear he had messed up again.

"I-sorry, sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you, I-" He rambled. The bunny quickly stopped him.

"No, Nono, they're good tears!" He laughed shakily, frantically wiping his eyes.

"Do you...really mean that...?" Bonnie asked hopefully. The bear only smiled and leaned closer to wipe his eyes.

"Every word." He reassured. Bonnie then looked Freddy up and down awkwardly, realizing how close they were. Freddy seemed to catch on as he, too, glanced down and saw.

"Oh...I-I didn't know I was this close -" Freddy stuttered, his body heating up. Bonnie glanced back up to meet his gaze.

"Y-yeah...I didn't...notice..." He trailed off. The two of them made eye contact and suddenly... could not look away from each other. Freddy was moving even closer.

"W-what are you doing...?" Bonnie whispered.

"I don't...really know..." He trailed off. After what felt like eternity, their noses finally met, and then their mouths.

It was a new feeling, their mouths connecting and lingering. Something deep within them. It was a rush! There was so much uncertainty and excitement, but also a warm fondness building up within them. The connection lasted longer than they had expected before Freddy finally pulled away, staring in awe. Bonnie shared his look. After a few seconds of staring. Bonnie chuckled, still struck in amazement.

"W-what was that??" Bonnie was unintentionally smiling. Freddy, on the other hand, looked flabbergasted.

"I-I don't know! It just kind of happened..." He stuttered desperately.

"I...I kind of... want to do it again-?" The bear asked nervously. Bonnie smiled again and wrapped his arms around his neck, allowing their mouths to connect again. This time, it was sweeter. It was less tense and rushed, it felt comfortable.

It was shorter than the other one, though. They pulled away and looked into each other's eyes again.

"I-I...I...love you, Bon-" Freddy mumbled. Bonnie just giggled and placed a gentle hand on his cheek.

"I... kind of knew, Fred... you're not very good at hiding things." He teased. The bear glanced down sheepishly.

"Well...did you want to be...you know, more than partners...?" Freddy asked awkwardly. Bonnie's smile slowly faded at that. It wasn't until now he noticed how serious this situation was.

Freddy was...still the same Freddy...or was he-? Bonnie was still not entirely sure this was the same Freddy, even now. How was he certain this was still his partner he had caught feelings for longer ago. What if he wasn't? Would this be wrong?

Bonnie cut off his barrage of thoughts to answer the bear.

"Freddy, I..." He glanced down, not wanting to meet his gaze.

"I-I love you too, but... I don't know if It's... the right time for this..." Bonnie forced out. He peeked at Freddy's face and felt his heart break at his crushed expression. He quickly elaborated.

"No, I-!" Bonnie fumbled, grabbing his hands frantically.

"I-I want that Freddy! I...I do-" He almost cringed at that, even saying that made him feel odd. It made this even harder he could not tell Freddy what had happened.

"I'm just... I think I need more time to think about this, this is a big thing!" He explained. Freddy's head lowered, but he nodded in understanding.

"I-it's ok... you don't have to justify it, if you don't want it, I get it..." He expressed sadly. Bonnie reached a hand to his chin to lift his face up again.

"I...if it's ok with you, I...I think I want to keep...kissing and stuff..." He laughed nervously.

"Until it...does happen-?" He proposed. The bear visibly lit up at that, his ears rising again.

"Y-yeah! Yeah, I'd love to." Freddy muttered in amazement. The bunny smiled affectionately at him. Bonnie leaned up to nuzzle his cheek affectionately. The bear finally smiled back and wrapped his arms around the bunny's torso. When Bonnie finished nudging Freddy, he wrapped his arms around him as well and the two settled in a comfortable embrace.

"...I love you too, Fred."
