"You're overreacting, hun." Bonnie smiled. He was currently laying on his sofa with his head on the arm rest while Freddy paced back and forth.
"I am not "overreacting", we have a new friend coming! We haven't had any real new friends in a while. What if we make a bad impression? What if -" the bear rambled. Bonnie chuckled.
"Get over here, Fred." Bonnie said. The bear sighed but jogged over to lean over the couch and give the bunny his attention. Bonnie gestured for him to come closer. When the bear bent over to make eye contact, the bunny appeared upside down because of the angle. Bonnie lifted his hands up to Freddy's cheeks and guided his head down to kiss him. They were a few short and sweet kisses. When he pulled away, he kept his hands on his cheeks and offered a dopey smile.
"You're overthinking it. It's going to be fine." He assured. Freddy finally relaxed and knelt down where he was standing. He lifted his arms over the armrest to wrap them gently around the bunny's neck and leaned his head down to rest on his shoulder. He planted a few small kisses on the side of Bonnie's neck while the bunny sighed contently and relaxed. They lay in comfortable silence until Freddy spoke up.
"Hey," Freddy spoke softly. The bunny hummed, and his gaze turned to the bear who had lifted his head up to look at him.
"You look beautiful, starshine." He spoke with a sweet smile. The bunny's eyes widened and he giggled at the new nickname.
"Starshine...? Where'd that come from?" He asked. Freddy thought for a moment.
"Is it because of the star?" Bonnie joked, pointing to the star on his right eye. Freddy laughed.
"Well, yes, but also..." Freddy began. He took a second to stop laughing before growing more serious.
"You... light up my world. Like a star in the night..." He spoke gently. Bonnie smiled.
"You're such a dork~" the bunny giggled. Freddy snickered as well.
"If you do not like it, I can stop calling you that." The bear offered. Bonnie shook his head, lifting a hand to rest on his cheek.
"Nah... I love it." He assured. They almost leaned in again before they were interrupted by a knock on the door. Freddy separated from the bunny and stood up abruptly, causing Bonnie to whine from the loss of contact. The bunny sighed in mild annoyance and sat up, and the bear shared a similar frustrated look. They loved Chica. They'd do anything for her, obviously. But especially lately, she continuously interrupts them. All of the time. They have barely gotten any privacy for a while. But they can't blame her. Now that Foxy was gone, she didn't have anyone else to talk to, despite how independent she was.
"Come in, Chica." Bonnie called. Chica walked through the automatic door, an excited look in her eye.
"The new animatronic just came! Did you guys want to come with me to see them?!" She asked.
"Already?!" Freddy straightened up immediately and rushed to the vanity mirror to straighten up. Bonnie stood up as well and slipped his overall straps on.
"Yeah, sure! Freddy, are you ready?" Bonnie turned to him. Freddy nodded and separated from the mirror to follow them. There was a new room that Bonnie had moved into to make room for the new animatronic's space to be in between him and Freddy. As they approached the room, Bonnie noticed the others trailed behind and glanced at them in confusion.
"Why am I in front?" He asked.
"You're the social one. You take the lead." Chica whispered. Freddy nodded in agreement. The bunny sighed and approached the door hesitantly. He knocked twice and waited for an answer.
