Jessica's POV
I stand atop a hill overlooking Hiryuu Castle. The scenery was beautiful, almost as much as when I arrived here for the first time. I'm a wanderer, I just travel to all sorts of places helping people. I wonder if he's still here?
I take a deep breath as I make my decent down the hill. As a former follower of King Hiryuu, it would be best if I go meet the current emperor, he did invite me.
My arrival in the town was quick. There is anything and everything here. It was the princess's birthday, anybody trying to make a profit is here. I walk up the path to the castle and take out my invite. Since I was a traveler, I wouldn't have extravagant clothing, therefore in order for me not to be turned away, the King was kind enough to make an invite for me.
I heaved a sigh as I walked up to the gate, I know I'm going to be stopped.
"Wait!" What did I tell you? "You're not permitted to enter! Oi, are you listening?!"
I glance back lazily and hand over the invite, "I'm pretty sure this permits me to enter. King Il sent it to me, I've been here before."
After a bit of grumbling and evil looks shot my way, the guard came back over, "Fine. Enjoy the party, Miss Jessica." I roll my eyes and walk away from the rude man to find the King.
As I travel around the castle, I find him walking the halls ( are they halls? IDK 😔), "King Il!"
He turns to look at me, and happiness fills his features, "Miss Jessica! I see you received my invite. It is a pleasure to have you here."
"Well, thank you! I was glad to receive it. How is Yona-hime?" I smile.
"Very well. Would you like to meet her?"
My eyes widened at the offer, "Of course, it would be an honor." We walked to a different room where the princess was attempting to tame her wild red hair.
"Ah, there's my beautiful daughter. Now, I have someone-"
The princess interrupted while still looking in the mirror, "Yes, yes I do have beauty when it comes to everything except my red hair."
"Now, Yona-" the king tried and failed to introduce me again.
"Why must my hair be so hard to tame?" 'If only you knew,' I thought to myself.
"Yona! There is someone I want you to meet," he gestured for me to come forward, "Miss Jessica, this is my daughter Princess Yona. Yona, this is one is the most accurate priestess I know, Miss Jessica."
"It's a pleasure, your highness," I said, slightly bowing as a sign of respect.
Her eyes lit up when she looked me over, "And you as well. Do you think you can help me with my attire? You look knowledgeable in that category as well."
I look down, trying to figure out how she arrived at that assumption seeing how I was wearing a cloak that almost entirely covered my outfit, "Thanks? And, sure I guess." During this time I seemed to have finally remembered the package I was carrying, "Ah, Hime-san, a present for you! I hope you like it, it seems as though it will save you in the future."
"Wah, really?" I nodded, "That's amazing! Ah, it's so pretty! Thank you, Jessica-san!"
(AN: for those go don't know, -San is a way of showing respect (. . . Miss, Ms, Mrs, Mr, ect.) Thnx :3 <- Ao)
"Of course, now perhaps you should wear something pink?"
~~~~~~~
I smiled as I left the palace. I have done my first task, now onto find Hakuryuu (white dragon)!
As I leave the outskirts of town, I look back with a feeling of uneasiness, but choose to ignore it. If I was to take part, Kami-sama (God) would have told me to stay. It seems I must leave it to faith
