Jessica's POV
"A room for eight people to stay?" Our group was standing out in the rainy weather of Shisen, one of the Water Tribe's towns. We were currently trying to get a room, "Yeah, I'm vacant. 600 rin per room."
"Thank you," Yoon said. Yona and I stood in our sopping wet clothing looking out the window as the guys changed.
"Mou~" Yona whined, "I was looking forward to seeing the lush green scenery of the Water Tribe."
I have a tired laugh, "It's still rather pretty compared to some of the port towns." I turned away from Yona and coughed as quietly as I could, I was probably going to end up really sick really quick.
Yoon sat on the floor wringing out his clothes, "While we were at the market, I heard of some unrest in the Water Tribe."
Yona turned from her spot, placing my soaked cape that I let her borrow, "I can't imagine there being unrest. All I've ever heard was that the Water Tribe was temperate."
I went over and slipped off my shoes and untied my hair, wringing it out, "Not everything you hear is the truth, Yona."
.
.
.
"Many people come in and out of port towns," Jae-ha said breaking the awkward silence, "There's bound to be little skirmishes."
.
There was another pause of awkwardness, but I broke it this time, with a sneeze.
Yona looked at me with concern, but said, "By the way. . . I would like to change out of these clothes and Jessie seems to be getting more and more under the weather, so could you all get out?" I sneezed again as if to prove a point.
"Jae-ha," Hak said dragging him out by his hair, "You too."
Once the door finally closed, I collapsed onto my knees, feeling a fever already starting, "Where's my bag, Yona?"
"Oh!" She said turning to get it, "He–"
I let out a really violent cough,"Are you okay?"I cleared my throat, "Peachy." With the help of Yona, I was somehow able to change into my spare lavender kimono, "I'm gonna go to bed now, Yona."
"Alright, good night, Jessie," Yona said with a worried smile.
~~Dream World~~
I had been sick like this before, now that I think about it.
It was Christmas and everyone was setting up. Everyone being me, Zeno, Shu-ten, Guen, and Abi.
We were planning to surprise Hiryuu-sama. It was the year that I had finally began to grow out of my shell, so my hair was now touching my shoulders (my parents were insistent on chin-length hair. I was finally done with their rules.) and I was wearing purple kimono.
I was helping Abi wrap presents while the other three were trying to decorate the palace. That could only keep a busybody like Zeno entertained for so long.
So, it was no surprise when I looked up from wrapping paper to see my blonde-haired friend throwing a snowball at our temperamental green dragon, Shu-ten.
This chain of events had lead to our temperamental friend to launch a snowball back, and a full out war had begun, "Zeno!"
Laughter erupted from said blonde as he ran into the room where Abi and I sat, "Let's go, Jess-chan!"
"Eh?" I was dragged by my wrist into the cold snow without a haori, "Eh?!??!"
Zeno was launching snow while I hid behind him, "You do the fort, Jess-chan!"
I sweat dropped, "R-right." I began to pile up snow as the bottom of my dress (which I was sitting on) got soaked. I was wearing tights, but they weren't doing much for the cold.
I was packing snow when I heard Shu-ten yell, "Let's get these two, Guen!"
"Hah?" One of the eldest of our group said. I had finally more-or-less finished making our fort and started to form snowballs.
I picked one up and handed it to Zeno, "Here."
"Thanks, Jess-chan!" He said before turning towards our new adversary.
I formed a tiny pyramid of snowballs when I hit the snow on my back with my blonde haired friend straddling me, "Eh?"
I laid there in the cold unable to move with an ever-growing blush covering my face, "Jess-chan?"
"G-get of me, i-idiot," I said. He blinked before smiling and getting off of me.
I laid in the snow for a moment longer before sitting up. My dress was now almost all soaked and I was subconsciously shaking. Regardless, I had a soft smile on my face in the snow flurries.
I was knocked out of my dazed state by a huge snowball to the back of my head that effectively soaked any part of me that wasn't soaked already. That, unfortunately, was when the cold hit, "ACHOO! Crap. . ."
Everyone froze. They all knew how bad it got when I got sick. I was out for days. No walking, no fun, just sitting in my room, bed-ridden.
"ACHOO!" After my second sneeze, the guys jumped into action. I can't remember who did what, but I somehow ended up safely in my room where the maids helped me into a clean, warm, dry kimono.
The next morning I had woken up with the three causes of my sickness asleep around my futon. Abi had just entered the room with soup and helped me sit up, "They were worried. I've never seen then work so well together."
I gave a short laugh, "Looks like I'm good for something then." I sat eating my soup and made small talk with Abi.
When they woke up after a few hours, I got pounced on. They were a blubbering mess as they tried to apologize, Zeno being the worst because he dragged me out there.
~~End Dream~~
I woke up slowly. I was then, all of a sudden, awake after feeling Jae-ha's presence waver.
I forced myself up and out to where the others were gathered. Yona was the one to notice as Hak had to keep me from hitting the ground, "Jessie? What are you doing up?"
I coughed before muttering, "I just felt Jae-ha's presence waver."
Everyone was worried about mine and Jae-ha's state and vetoed me from going to find our friend, so they were trying to figure out who would stay.
Many thought Yoon, but it was pointed out that Jae-ha could be in a worse state whereas I just needed to take medicine.
All were bickering until a hand went in the air, "Zeno volunteers!"
Everyone was looking at him with doubt but I muttered, hanging off his shoulders, "I've been worse off and Zeno's taken care of me. He can be smart when he wants to be."
Yoon looked to me, "If you're sure. . ."
"Yeah, there's no time to waste. Go help Jae-ha," he nodded before giving Zeno a long lecture on how to take care of me.
"Zeno gets it. Zeno will take good care of Jess-chan!"

Guys I finally updated. Sorry.
Revealed an old memory. That's cool, right? Hah.
Got Fire Emblem Fates yesterday evening and played it all day because I stayed home from school due to my stupid back. But I think I got pretty far. . . Maybe. . .
It's my first time playing any Fire Emblem game, and it's cool. I usually play Pokémon and Legend of Zelda, but I'm liking this game as well. Yay strategies!
Okay. I'm sure y'all don't care that much about my day.
So. . .
Read, Comment, Vote! I'll feel more obligated to update if you do!
Thanks guys,
~Ashley
