Jessica's POV
Three days down. Two to go.
Today was the day of the Oryuu, Zeno's day. It was quite late when I set off to get the star of the day, but it really wasn't surprising that he was wide awake. The only problem was that I had to search for him.
One of the shrine maidens told me he went into town, so I began my seemingly fruitless search. I looked in all the probable places, you know shops, but he was nowhere to be found.
Figuring I'd spent most of the morning looking, I was about to start heading home when I heard joyous laughter. I smiled slightly before following the sound to a flower meadow towards the back of the settlement. There I found not only the annoyance that took up my morning, but also a group of children playing in the flowers.
I approached slowly. There was no reason to be in a hurry. Zeno refused to host a special event for today, so he was just planning to 'wish everyone a good time and enjoy a fun filled day'.
The children seemed to be playing tag with Zeno, so it wasn't that surprising for one of the children to fall. Luckily, I was close enough to catch the little rascal, "Woah there! Careful."
The little girl looked starstruck, "Lady Jessica!" The children turned my way before she addressed another, familiar child, "Luca! It's Lady Jessica!"
Little Luca beamed before running over to me. The others soon followed suit. This caused my clumsy self to fall over, bringing the children down as well, but that didn't stop their hugging.
Nothing did, until my childhood friend's laughter filled the air, "Jess-chan is really loved and really clumsy!"
The kids moved off of me so I could sit up, "I'm grateful for your concern."
"Of course," Zeno said flashing a joyful smile. "Zeno knows Jess-chan can take care of herself!"
I smiled and softly whispered, "The concern is still appreciated though."
Zeno looked at me curiously, "Hm?"
I shook my head, "So, what are we doing?"
One of the little girls came over, "Can you teach us how to make a flower crown, Lady Jessica? Zeno-onii says you know how to make the best!"
I could feel my face slightly warm, "He did, did he?" The little girl nodded smiling. I sighed before surveying what flowers were around us, "It can't be helped then. Since Oryuu-sama," cue glance in the blonde's direction, "isn't hosting an event, I have time."
All the kids smile throwing their hands in the air, "Yay!"
I smiled and grabbed the white lilies that were growing to my left as the girls came closer. The boys went to harass Zeno, so there was more room for my flower crown students to watch, "Okay. So first. . ."
~~~(A/N: If I knew how to make a flower crown, I'd insert directions. But I do not)~~~
Zeno's POV
The boys ran over to me as Jess-chan began her lesson. It was pretty obvious how she was enjoying herself. The two of us used to play in the flowers all the time.
-flashback-
"Jess-chan?" A younger version of myself ran over to my best and only friend who was sitting in a field of lilies.
She lit up as she turned to me, "Zeno-kun!"
"What ya making?" I asked trying to see what she was working on.
