Jessica's POV

I held a basket full of herbs as Yoon carried a backpack full. It was a sunny day, a perfect time for work.

And apparently, Yoon had the same idea, "We're going into town for work."

Of course, the others would join us, "Work?"

We were now walking amongst the many people and Yoon was giving orders, "You guys need to bring in customers!"

Kija butted in, "Is it smart to stand out? I thought we were trying to hide."

Yoon nodded before answering, "Usually we wouldn't want to grab attention, but since tons of people come to sell goods from all over the country, we should be okay, and standing out may be beneficial to us."

"What are you going to sell?" Asked Yona.

"Jessie and I are going to sell herbs and medicine," I nodded in full support of Yoon's idea. We needed money. He then addressed the others, "You guys need to go out and bring back customers back."

I could see none of them seemed willing, so I added, "No customers, no dinner."

That was literally all it took for them to disperse to get buyers.

~~~~~~~~
I smiled to my customers and handed out medicine accordingly, "Thank you very much! Next?"
The guys were doing really well at their task.
This was easy for Jae-ha. All he had to do was shamelessly flirt with anything in a skirt and we got tons of customers.
Zeno brought some 'young misses' AKA a few elderly women. I sold them medicine for their aches and pains. As I finished with the last woman, though, she spoke, "That blonde must be your boyfriend."
I blinked, "Eh?"
"He talked on and on about you. He said you were a priestess. Oh! And that you knew so much about caring for people," I was probably as red as Yona's hair right now.
I was shocked as I tried to deny her accusation, "I-I'm not–We-we're not–"
"No need to be shy," she waved me off. Yoon seemed to be enjoying my torture since he directed everyone to line up in front of him.
He smirked at me as he called out, "Why don't you help that lady get where she needs to, Jessie?"
"I–" Yoon and the lady shared a quick look before she tried to collapse, causing me to catch her.
"I'm so weary. Would it be alright? You're awfully busy and I wouldn't want to be a bother."
My suspicions grew, but this was apparently what Yoon wanted, to see me embarrassed, "N-no, it isn't a bother. I-I'll be taking some time off, Y-Yoon."
"Go right ahead."
~~~~~~~

Once she and I were a good ways away, she perked up and got back to our previous conversation, "You two have to be dating! He even said you'd make a great wife!"

I was red, and I kept my face down as we continued on our way, "W-where are we h-headed?"

"Just back to my home," she said dismissively, then her attitude flipped 180 degrees, "Soooooo~ how do you two know each other?"

I silently groaned but answered anyway, "We grew up together."

"I figured. He knew too much for being 'just reunited' to be a new friend," the lady said. "What do you like about him?"

"E-eh?"

She stopped and put her hands on her hips looking at me, "It would take an idiot not to see that you two love each other!"

I looked away slightly depressed, "Then I guess we're both idiots."

Blink. Blink, "You don't think he loves you?"

"Should I?" I asked confused. "What could cause him to–"

"You've known each other literally For-Ev-Er. He leans on you for most things–"

"Literally and figuratively," I muttered quietly.

"That's what I mean!" I looked at the raging older lady in surprise, "What about you? You must rely on him as well! Do you?" I nodded slowly. "And as far as you know 'he doesn't like you'."

"Sounds about right," I said keeping my eye on the lady.

There was a tired sigh that left her mouth, "I feel as though you are as wise, if not more than myself, but you do not know anything about love."

I blinked my blush hadn't gone down, but I was slowly getting used to her pestering, "It would appear so."

"So," she began this time much calmer than before, "back to the question at hand. What do you like about him?"

I paused, trying to figure out my answer, "He's. . . Sweet, and kind. Always attentive, even when it doesn't look like it. . ."

I glanced over to her seeing her nod like a crazy person who shipped couples together with a passion, "Good! Good! That's what I've been wanting to hear. Anything else? I can tell you don't talk about this a lot."

I blinked, then casted a suspicious glance at her, "Why do you want to listen to a hopeless love story?"

She held up one finger, "First of all, it isn't hopeless because you obviously still believe there's a chance it could work out," she now held up the number two, "and secondly, I am quite the person to go to for relationship advice. I just love seeing young love."

"Uh huh," I glance up at where we were. "Is this it?"

"Oh, darn," she said slightly disappointed, "and I wanted to talk more."

I helped her up to her door and right before she entered her house she whispered to me, "If you continue to believe, your love won't be hopeless. Be more confident, no man in his right mind would deny you."

I was now blushing full on again, and as I went to leave, she yelled out, "Go get him, Girlie!"

I lit up an even brighter red as I scurried back towards our booth.
