Jessica's POV
I smiled as I continue on my way to fulfill my destiny.
How did I escape Hakuryuu's village, you ask? Well, it's quite simple.
Since I have the attention span of a three year old, I can get very annoying when I want to. So, in order to gain my freedom, I ended up becoming the most annoying person on the planet. End of story.
Now, I reached a cave system in which I felt the blue dragon's presence. Yes, I have that power, I'm a priestess! A very tired and hungry priestess. I'm cold too, it rained on me. So, I entered.
"Um, hello? I'm looking for a place to stay for the night! Anyone here?!" I knew people were here, I could feel it (AN: priestess powers activate!). Plus, I could hear the whispers, "I'm cold and hungry, all I ask is a little hospitality!"
Footsteps were heard along with gasps, "There is room back here." He spoke slowly and his voice was soft. He wore a mask and silver wig, and was wearing blue garments.
"Thank you," I said. He simply nodded and lead me into the cave and past a secret entrance to a little stone room, where he sat down and turned to me.
". . .They were going to turn you away. . ."
I was now curious, "And why didn't you?"
". . .We've met before. . . Remember?" A memory flashed in my mind about when we met for the first time.
~~
I was traveling through the forest and came across a little village. There were children playing outside, all except a little boy who wore a mask. The little boy tried to play, but the others ran away in fear. I, on the other hand, skipped over to him, "Hello. I'm Jessica."
". . . You're not afraid. . . Lady?"
"Should I be?"
~~
"Yes, Seiryuu. It's good to see you again.""Pikyuu!"
"Aw! Who's this little guy?" I ask to Seiryuu, holding up the little squirrel.
". . . Ao."
I smiled and held the cute thing to my face, "Nice to meet you, Ao. I'm Jessica."
"Pikyuu!"
My smile dropped, time to get serious, "Ne, Seiryuu, there will be a girl. She'll have red hair and will be traveling to collect the dragons. If you let her, she'll take you away from this place."
"Should I go. . . With her?"
"That depends on you. It will give you more friends though."
He looked to me, "Will you travel with her?"
A soft smile appeared on my face, "Eventually. Once my main job is done."
He then looked down, "So you're leaving soon."
" I'm sorry, but I have someone else to inform. She'll treat you nicely, ya know. Just think about it, okay?" He slightly nodded. I felt sad knowing I'd leave him again, "Goodnight, baka."
"Night, Ah-nee."
