Chapter 22

I was freaking out. Valentine's day was next week, and I still had NOTHING for Ryder. Oh my shit of my mothertesticles!! What was I going to him?! Then an idea popped into my head. I stood up from my desk and ran to the shower. I was in and out and I ran back into my room to get dressed. I put on my black skater skirt suspender overalls and put a short sleeved gray crop top that said 'No eye contact please.' on it and put on my black and gray vans . I put my hair in a messy bun at the back of my head and put regular black studs in my ears. I grabbed my phone and put it in my pocket (YES THIS THING COME WITH POCKETS I JUST DIED) and grabbed my(Ryder's) jacket and went downstairs.
"Dad I'll be back later love you!" I yelled up to my dad, he was in his study.
"Okay bye have fun! Love you too!" It felt wonderful to have dad at home and saying I love you again felt even better. I went out to my car. Ryder was out with Bryan and two other guys I'd meet later on but they went out for the day so I could sneak around and get a gift for Ryder.
I drove to the mall and pulled into the lot.
I went to the jewelry counter and waited for the girl to finish with the other costumer the boy next to her was busy. I looked at the things on display.
"Hi what can I do for you?"
I looked up and the girl was there. She was really pretty, she was not super tanned but not paper sheet white either but the perfect tone and she had crazy hair. It was long and purple at the top and as it went down it turned pink, but it looked good on her. She had a nose ring and I saw a cross tattoo on her wrist. She would have been intimidating if she didn't have such a perky nice auora radiating off from her.
"Uh hi I'm looking for something for my boyfriend." I was blushing at the thought of Ryder. Wonderful.
"Ohh! Who's the lucky guy ?"
"Hey." The boy came up be hind her and stood next to her. God I just met this chick and she already wanted my back story.
"His name is Ryder and he's sweet?" They laughed like crazy people, Van would love Jackie. They'd probably destroy the city.
"Well you're nice but I'm guessing he's bad boy huh?" The boy asked me.
"Yeah pretty much."
"Well I got the perfect idea." She went into a drawer and pulled out like a stencil gun and a dog tag necklace. I sat on a stool and watched her. She started working and then she asked me, "What's your name ?"
"Alex."
"And your boyfriend's?"
"Ryder."
"Okay."
She kept working and she asked me one more thing.
"You have pretty hair." The boy was pulling on a strand of my hair.
"Thank you ?" The girl turned to me.
"Would you like a special engraving ?"
I thought about and I had one but I was nervous about saying it. Fuck it.
"Can you put
'from your princess ,I love you always.' on it please?"
"Sure." She put the tags in a machine and closed the holding and pressed the button to start it.
"It's gonna take about 10 minutes but it comes out beautiful. So how'd you meet your bad boy ?"
"Well I literally ran into him rushing to the classroom. And then we got detention together."
"Aww that's so cute !" They both gushed at me.
I blushed.
"Well before I got to know him I thought he was a jerk and a player but he's none of those things."
"Aww I'd like to meet him one day and my name is Savannah by the way. But you can call me Van."
"And my name's Xander."
I smiled." Nice to meet you."
"I love your eyes! Aw you're so cute." Was Xander hitting on me?
Van looked up at me and saw my expression.
"Its okay he's gay."
"Ohh. I love you even more now." Xander smiled.
Van, Xander, and I were just talking when I saw someone. Oh shit. Ryder and the boys were here , oh god my plan was gonna be ruined. I ducked down from my seat.
"Uhh what are you doing?"
"My boyfriend's here!" I hissed.
"Which one ?" She looked around. I peeked my head over the counter and pointed him out.
"Red beanie sitting over there!"
They both saw him.
"DAMN girl you lucky as fuck!" It had to be Xander to yell that.
I smirked proud of the effect that he's mine and slightly jealous cuz that's still my boyfriend.
"Is he gone?"
"Uhh no actually the opposite haha..." Xander said.
"WHAT ?! What do you mean?!"
"He's walking this way shut up and get under the desk!" Van whisper shouted.
Yep totally like Jackie.
I crawled under the desk on my hands and knees.
Then I heard his voice.
"Hello."
"Hi what can I do for you?" Van was good at acting. Xander blocked Ryder from seeing me. I was looking for something around the desk. Oh! I found it. I took the pen and tore a price of the paper. I wrote
'If I don't come back in an hour call this number:832 -531-5035
(This is my actual number) and I'll pick up the necklace when I can. Thanks!

I folded the note and stuck it in Van's jacket pocket that was around her waist.
I listened to what they were saying again.
"Yeah I'm looking for something for my valentine."
"Oh! What ideas do you have." Xander said.
"A necklace or a bracelet maybe."
"Oh well I'll look at the catalog." Van said.
"Wait before you do that I have one more question."
"Okay."
"Have you seen a girl? About this tall, hazel eyes, long brown hair? You haven't seen her around maybe?" Oh shit! Did he see me?
"Uhh no no I've seen no one like that." Van was starting to squirm.
"Oh really, so you don't mind if I..." What was happening? Why'd he stop talking? Then all of a sudden the little door I was hidden behind was flung open and I saw black bike boots before me. Then the face of my oh so lovely boyfriend. I laughed weakly.
"Hiii.. What are you doing here?"
He raised an eyebrow.
"Just wondering if I was just seeing things when I saw a short girl who looked ALOT like my girlfriend was doing here ."
"Uhh just looking around."
He did not looked amused. He looked angry.
All of a sudden I wasn't on the floor anymore I was flung onto a shoulder.
"Whoa! Hey man put me down! This isn't funny put me down right now Ryder! I'm too short for this shit and I ain't dying today!" He just ignored me and started walking. I could see Van and Xander watching us with two different emotions on their faces. 1) gushing at the cuteness of us & 2) if they should call the cops or not.
I made a gesture at Van and pointed to her pocket. She dug in her pocket and pulled out the note. She read it and node. They both waved at me and blew me kisses. I was definitely gonna hang with them. Ryder walked out of the mall with me on his shoulder throwing a mini tantrum. I'm pretty sure I flashed half of the mall a view of my undies. He suddenly grabbed my waist and put my down. We were at his bike. He caged me in his arms so I was against the bike facing him. He looked beyond pissed.
"What were you doing here?"
"I was just looking at stuff, you know."
"No I don't know cuz if you wanted to go to the mall you would have called me."
"Uhh wanted to try something new today?"
"Bullshit." Damn he called bullshit he was mad.
"Who was that guy that was all over you? Huh? In saw him playing with your hair and looking into your eyes and shit."
"Xander?"
"Oh you know his name too!"
I put my hands on Ryder's shoulders.
"Xander is gay. "Ryder went blank for a second and then out of nowhere he smashed his lips onto mine. Like what the fuck I enjoyed it but this boy was cray. He kissed me with anger and frustrated passion. Honestly it was hot. Just saying. He gripped me tighter around my waist and deepened the kiss. Why he was kissing me. I don't know, but I don't want him to stop. He pulled back and looked at me.
"I love you."
"You're a psycho but I love you too." Then I realized what we just did.
"Oh my god! We just made out in the parking lot! Anybody could've seen that!"
"Well let's give them a show then."
"Wha-"
Cut off by his lips. Right.
