Chapter 24

I was starting to get scared. I think I heard footsteps behind me. I turn my head slightly and there's a figure behind me. I start picking up my pace. My heart picked up it's pace as I started going faster. Oh God. I wish Ryder was here. Stupid Reaping Ground.

Earlier that afternoon

I had taken a shower and I wanted to go out. February was over and so was the cold! Yes! I put on a flowy white tank and a pair of black high waisted leggings, I slipped on my white converse and put my hair in a high messy ponytail . I put on regular black studs and put on mascara and eyeliner. I always kept on the ring Ryder gave me and grabbed a denim jacket from the hanger. I wanted to do something risky. Sometimes Ryder will go to fight clubs to watch the fights so tonight I was gonna follow him. I'm not just a goody two shoes I can be bad too. I went out to my car and drove to Ryder's house but I parked in a spot where he wouldn't be able to see my car. I waited for a little in before I got out of my car and went to Ryder's. He left the door unlocked so I climbed in and laid down under the little parting under the backseat. I felt like such a badass! I heard him come out of his house with Bryan and Xander (yea they all became friends :)) and they piled into Ryder's car. I could see Xander's shoes right in front of my face.
"This is gonna be a good fight." Bryan said .
"Yeah?" Ryder was talking now.
"Yeah I heard the Viper's gonna be there tonight." Xander almost kicked me in the face god.
What's the name of this place? The rave? The razor?
"The Reaping Ground is gonna be crazy tonight." Ah yes the reaping ground. Wonderful. I slid my phone from my pocket very stealthily and dimmed the light. I texted Van and Jackie to meet me at The Reaping Ground. Then I turned my phone off and put it in my pocket again. We drove for a little while before the car came to a complete stop, but when the car lurched Xander's phone literally fell right in front of my face. I saw his hand come down and feel around for it. I backed up my face a little , he almost hit me twice. I pushed a finger forward and pushed his phone into his reach. He got it without any more complications. They all got out and I stayed under the seat for about 5 minutes before getting out of the car. I crept around and saw a little building that looked like a bar and I went in. The smell was horrible. It reeked of smoke, beer, and sweat and it was loud.
"Hey baby doll! Whatcha doin here?" I ignored the cat calls that I received and went to a set of stairs that went down. I steeled my self and went down. It was louder down where I went. People were all over the place yelling and screaming in a group around a ring. In the ring was two huge guys pummeling eachother. I looked away and searched the crowd for both the boys and the girls.
I texted the girls first.
'U guys here?'
'Yeah'
'Where?? I don't see u guys'
'We're coming down stairs now'
'K'
My phone was dying I needed them to hurry. I stood by the stairs and saw them come down. I went up to them.
"Alex are you fucking high?!"
"No why?"
"Look at the place we're in right now!"
"Yeah why are we even here?"
"I just wanted to be a badass for once too."
"Aww sweetheart you are a badass now let's leave."
"No! Come on let's at least find the boys."
"Fine but we stay close." I nodded. We started walking through the rough crowd and as we were walking a girl bumped into me and knocked me down.
"Outta my way bitch."
Well such nice manners here.
"Owwie." I got up and looked for the girls but they disappeared. Fuck. I'm by my self now. It was getting hot and stuffy in here I felt choked up. I pulled out my phone to call any of the guys or the girls but my phone died at that moment. Double fuck.
I had to get out of here. This guy kept staring at me and I was kinda creeped. He gave me a slimy smile and I just turned around. There was an exit at the back of the room. I fought my way through and I opened it. I swear I could've heard someone call me. Hmm it's just these crap people. I went out and the door let out to a dark alleyway. I stepped out and let the air cool me down. I moved to open the door but I got locked out.
"Fuck!" I started walking down the alley. It was dark and slimy out here. I heard a door open and looked back. Someone just came out. I was starting to get scared. I think I heard footsteps behind me. I turn my head slightly and there's a figure behind me. I started picking up my pace. My heart started picking up it's pace as I started going faster. Oh god. I wish Ryder was here. Stupid Reaping Ground. Whoever was behind me was getting closer.
"Hey baby where you off to? I'll come with." I kept walking and went faster.
"Hey!" He was closer , he grabbed my jacket sleeve.
"Get off!" I ripped my arm away from him and kept walking.
"Aww don't be like that now." He was so close. Too close I could smell his disgusting smell coming off him. He grabbed my arm again except he gripped harder.
"Let's have some fun!"
"NO GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME! RYDER! ANYBODY!" the man put a finger to my lips and I curled them in disgust.
"Come on now!" He started pulling me somewhere else. My heart was racing and I felt dirty I just wanted Ryder to come already.
I kicked the gross perv in the shin and started running.
"Ohh! Now you're gonna get it bitch!" He started after me and I ran but he caught up and grabbed my jacket by the collar .
"Now let's see what I can do..." His breath was hot and rancid on my face. I had tears streaming down my cheeks. I closed my eyes to make it go away.
"RYDER!" and just like that I the man was off me and I could breath. I opened my eyes to see Ryder pounding the man.
" YOU MADE HER CRY YOU ASSHOLE! YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY GIRL.IF I EVER SEE YOU TOUCH MY PRINCESS WITH YOUR FILTHY DISGUSTING HANDS I WILL NOT HESITATE TO KILL YOU. DO YOU HEAR ME!? EVER! IT'S MONSTERS LIKE YOU WHO MESS UP YOUNG GIRLS!" mad didn't even begin to describe how Ryder felt towards this guy.
Ryder punched him one last time then dropped him to the floor. Ryder turned to me and pulled me into a hug. He pulled me out of the alley and he looked at me. There were so many emotions swirling in his eyes. Fear, anger, worry, relief, shame, guilt, and love. I was sobbing now.
"I'm sorry!" I exclaAPrincesPrincess I'm so sorry I should've came sooner anything could've happened and and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you."
"No but it didn't happen 'cuz you were there and I love you so much."
"Princess you don't know how much I love you I never wanna lose you. I love you so much it hurts." I hugged him and he hugged me tighter.
"Please take me home."
"That's wherever you are princess."
He drove us back to my house.I snuck him in through my window and I changed in the bathroom. I ran to Jared's room quickly and got some clothes for Ryder and he changed in the room. I don't want him to leave and he didn't want to leave me. We laid down together and we tangled ourselves up in each other.
He kissed me all over my face and finally kissed my lips. His kiss could fix any problem I had. It would always make things better just like him.
I fell asleep in his embrace.
"I love you Alex."
