Radiowave took a moment to process what he just said, the realization slowly dawning on her as the pain faded away. She pulled back, not a lot but just enough so she could look up at this mech. Her mind reached out and tried to read his.

And sure enough, she got through and he let his memories present themselves to her, confirming who he was.

She let out a noise somewhere between a squeal and a sob before grabbing her sire and hugging him, burying her face in his chassis. He laughed and embraced her back.

They stayed like that for a bit until Soundwave took her by the shoulders and held her at arm's length, looking at his daughter. She'd grown so much since he'd last seen her, becoming an almost identical image of her carrier.

At the same time, they both simultaneously took their masks off. There were gasps behind them as the crew of the Lost Light saw both bots' faces for the first time.

'She had a face!?' Swerve yelled somewhere in the background, making them laugh slightly. Soundwave focused back on his femmling and looked at her, smiling back at him, tears streaming down her face as she did.

No words were needed during that time, as the silence spoke for itself.

There were then yells and two small bots tackled Radio, making her yelp and fall over backward as her brothers hugged her. But after realizing who they were, she burst out laughing and squeezed them both.

The symbiotes also all came over and she was buried even more and there was soon just a laughing bundle of limbs and animals.

Soundwave couldn't help but laugh seeing them all act like this, the family finally united after all this time.

Thoughts broke out behind him and he turned to see the crew coming, Megatron in front and looking at him seriously. But Soundwave stood up, still smiling. He walked forward and stopped in front of the gray mech. They were silent for a while until he held out his servo to him.

'It's been a while, old friend.' He said as Megatron accepted and shook his servo. 'Indeed it has.' He said. Soundwave looked at him, 'And it would seem much has changed with you.' He gestured to the new Autobot logo on his chassis, 'I also saw your message for all cons to cease fire.'

'Yes, I did do that after my trial.' Megatron said, 'And what about you? Having trouble picking a side?' Soundwave looked down at his bare chassis, bearing no sign of a faction insignia. 'Yeah, I removed it as soon as I managed to get away from Galvatron.'

He looked up at the crowd of mechs behind him, 'And this is the Lost Light crew?' 'That's right,' Maximus said, crossing his arms, 'Something wrong with that?'

'Not at all,' Soundwave said, holding his servos up. His optics fell on two particular mechs. Both their thoughts swirled around but he could read them clearly. He walked forward and stepped in front of the bigger one.

'You are Chromedome and Rewind,' He said, looking at them. He pointed at Chrome, 'I remember you. You were with Trepan when the Institute ordered for me to have my memory wiped.' 'Don't blame me,' He said defensively, 'I was still just a rookie to mnemosurgery back then.'

'I see,' Soundwave said, 'But I will admit, I wasn't the best person back then. I see you're a new bot as well.' Chromedome nodded, not exactly sure how to respond to that but Soundwave did for him.

'You looked after my daughter, correct?'

'Uh yeah,' Rewind said, 'We visited Luna-85 before it fell so we knew her from there. She mainly stuck with us after that.'

'Thank you for keeping her safe.' Soundwave said, bowing his helm, 'For that, I am in your debt.'

'No, you aren't,' Chromedome said, looking down, 'More than once I failed to protect her and she suffered because of that.' Soundwave put a servo on his shoulder, making the orange mech look up.
