Chapter 40 Selling Some Sob Story
"So, can you tell me now what happened to you?"
Hua Meili who suddenly cut in broke the awkward atmosphere and slowly rising invisible tension between their own group.
Even though she already knew from the book about what happened to Jin Hua during his journey to the west peh! His journey from the unknown island back home, she still wanted to know more about it from his own mouth.
Since she can't expect the author to write all his experience in the book, right?
There must be some omitted parts by the author when she was writing about the life experience of the villain in the novel.
The author won't have so much free time as to write a whole book about the villain's experiences in life so she can only ask through his mouth.
It's not like the author is so bored!
Being asked like this by Hua Meili, Jin Hua wryly scratch his cheeks as he recounted to her what he had experienced during his journey all the way here.
"Well... as I told you before, I was at a private Island doing some business when the Apocalypse struck. All the people I brought there with me for the trip had already died and the others turned into zombies."
Jin Hua started his story.
"At first, I don't know what was truly happening. I just thought that maybe some weird virus spread on that Island so I tried to escape from there. After a week of planning how to escape, I finally successfully made my escape using the boat that we used to go there. I was not able to access it easily since those man-eating people were patrolling in all the areas and the smallest sound could send all of them flying to the source, it was actually a miracle for me to survive that."
Jin Hua stops for a while before continuing, seeming to recall his not-so-good past experiences.
Listening to his past experiences, Hua Meili could just imagine just how much effort it took Jin Hua to successfully escape that island infested with Zombies.
Even though he was the villain second only to the protagonist, he is not like her who had so many cheats and knew almost one hundred and one ways how to survive during an Apocalypse.
He must have been rattled when he suddenly woke up and the world had changed.
Reality can sometimes be fuck up and hard to accept.
But despite all of this, she can only give her respect.
She respected strong people like him.
Even when danger comes to all corners, he did not forget to come back home for his forlorn sister.
"After I gained access to the boat, I immediately sailed down to the nearest city and there I met Shui. When I arrived in the city, I realized that the virus was not only on that Island but is already all over the world. That was truly one hell of a nightmare."
Jin Hua chuckled but his smile did not reach his eyes.
Maybe because it's not a nightmare that he can wake up from. But, the reality that he had to live.
Realizing this, he could not laugh happily.
'Nightmare? All of humanity wish it was.'
"Shui then joined me and we journeyed on together from city to city where we met the Yu brothers in Jie city and Hou at Shi city and we also rescued Pian at Luguan City. I'll tell you honestly, it was hard very hard, if we did not happen upon some firearms we may not be able to reach here. We traveled together from city to city experiencing many dangerous encounters with those Zombies, not only Zombies but also Humans."
