"Why did you hide your abilities, Xiao Mei?" Guo Zhongcheng asked.

After chatting about life in the living room, everyone scattered and did the things they wanted to do and Guo Zhongcheng, Zhongcheng Qingren, and her Shadows followed her inside her room.

Hua Meili sat on her bed reading her "Talismans for Beginner Master" book as she also listened to her friends' questions.

Before answering their questions, she took a sip of tea.

"Well, like you, I am also wary of the others. I could not trust them easily, mostly that woman. I know she's no good and will only be trouble in the future so make sure to stay away from her."

Hua Meili looked at the two of them and then looked back to her book to study. She needed to advance her Talisman to a whole new level!

"So, you are pretending to be a sheep to eat the tiger?" 

Zhongcheng Qingren deduce, he looked at her with understanding in his eyes.

"Exactly! Pretending to be weak and bidding time can rip many benefits. And by the way, don't show all your ability in front of them for now. Let them think you're weak and see if their attitude is still the same or not."

Hua Meili took a quick glance at them before she put her attention back on her book, again.

"We understand." Both of them said.

After talking for a while, they went out of her room and closed the door behind them silently.

She finally had her peace when the two went out.

Reading her book peacefully, the door once again opened and Jin Hua went in.

"Gege!"

Hua Meili was surprised when she saw Jin Hua go in, quickly putting her book down on top of her bedside table.

"Mei, sorry for disturbing you."

Jin Hua nervously sat on the opposite side of her bed, just across from her, he stared at her and seemed hesitant about something.

"No, it's okay. You're not disturbing me at all. So, do you need something?" Hua Meili asked.

She was curious why Jin Hua decided to visit her and he seems fidgety. Like a kid who had done something bad and was caught red-handed.

"Uhm.. I just wanted to tell you something."

Jin Hua looked at Hua Meili not knowing if he should say what is on his mind or not.

Seemingly steeling himself, he continued.

"It's been weighing on my mind now. When I thought that I would die that time when the Apocalypse struck, I had another thought other than surviving."

He stop and bit his lips as if to stop some sort of emotions he was unable to hold back before he decided to continue.

He looked at her with deep complicated eyes as if he was trying to imbed her appearance inside his mind. Even her soul could not help but get tugged in while looking at those deep eyes.

"One of my deepest regrets is being unable to be there with you when you needed me the most, I regret that I did not care for you enough and was always busy. I kept on leaving you alone all by yourself in this big mansion. I'm sorry for not always being there for you.... I am really sorry."

Jin looked her in the eyes with deep regret and affection. She could see that he truly regrets his actions and really loved the original but it was already too late, she had already replaced her.
