October 2002 - Age 14
"Lily come on..." whined Zack, smacking his head lightly against the door frame.
"Just go. I'll catch up." I replied.
I was stood in my bra, a pair of shorts and a pair of tights, still staring at the Blink-182 shirts in front of me like I had been for the last 15 minutes, trying to decide which one to wear for school. Mostly I was doing it to annoy Zack, but I genuinely couldn't decide which one. Eventually he walked over, picked up one of the shirts and shoved it into my chest.
"Please get dressed before I punch something." he said quietly, sighing as he walked away.
I suppressed a giggle when Zack spoke; his voice was breaking, and it kept going really squeaky in the middle of sentences. When he was out of ear shot, I let out a low giggle and pulled my shirt over my head. After making sure I looked decent enough, I walked out of my bedroom and slid down the banister on the stairs. Dad hated me doing this, and since he was out, I figured I'd get away with it. I was wrong.
"Mom, come see what Lily's doing." Zack said loudly, smirking.
"Asshole!" I hissed, quickly jumping off and landing next to him.
What I didn't realise, was that she was already stood there. My face instantly spread into a look of disgust as soon as I caught sight of her. I don't know what it is, but recently I've just not felt right calling her 'mom'. For 13 years, I happily called her it, but ever since I turned 14, it just felt wrong. I managed to pull back the disgust a little.
"Lily, you know what your fa-"
"Right let's go, Zack, we're gonna be late. Bye." I said quickly, cutting her off before she could say any more.
I grabbed Zack's wrist with one hand, wrenched the door open with the other and pulled him outside with me, all before slamming the door. Zack looked at me as if I were going crazy. He raised his eyebrow, and I knew what was coming next.
"What the fuck?"
"You don't understand..." I muttered, shaking my head as I walked up the street.
"Then help me to?" he said, but it kind of sounded like a question. "Lily, you're my sister...my twin sister. If you're upset, I wanna know."
I continued to stare at the ground, and shook my head at Zack again. He didn't understand, he'd never understand. I felt like an outcast in my own family; even Sam's treating me differently! It was like I had some sort of contagious disease or something, and Zack was totally oblivious to it all. Although I didn't want to, I had to tell him, because I can't deal with anything alone.
"Okay...but promise you won't tell?" I said quietly, looking up at him for the first time.
Zack nodded. He wrapped an arm around me, and tightened his grip more and more as we got closer to school. I told him everything. All my worries and burdens felt as if they were slowly being lifted off me the more I told Zack. I hadn't realised I was crying, until we reached the gate where he stopped. He turned me so that I was facing him, and wiped the few tears that were there away, careful not to smudge my make up - he knew I'd kill him.
"Thanks Zack." I smiled, hugging him tightly.
"Hey, what are brothers for?" he chuckled, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"Lily!"
"What is it, Neil?" I asked lazily.
"I can see Griffin. He's fucking coming!" he panicked.
I shared a worried look with the rest of the group. We desperately tried to dispose of everything quickly, hoping and praying the fat-ass principal wouldn't see or smell anything. But all that hoping and praying was pointless. He could smell it from a mile away, and we all knew it.
