After spending 2 hours with Kara, I left Lisa with her and made my way to Jack's. I was unbelievably excited to see him again. I know it's only been like 7 hours, but love does strange things to people. It's crazy how the feelings you have for one person can change your whole life. Like, I've never been as happy in my entire life as I have been with Jack over the past year. The best thing I ever did was stop being an over dramatic bitch and just accepted the fact that Jack and I loved each other. It was actually the only good decision I've ever made. I turned into Jack's street and a smile spread across my face when I saw a familiar figure walking towards me; Jack. I stopped outside one of the first houses, stepped back a little so I was slightly hidden by the bushes and stuck one of my feet out. His footsteps got louder and a distinct 'FUCK' echoed out as he slightly tripped over my foot.
"YES!" I chuckled, stepping out of my hiding spot.
Jack looked up at me; he pouted and glared up at me as he massaged his foot.
"That hurt." he moaned.
"N'aw baby." I cooed.
Jack stood up to his full height and smiled down at me, an evil glint present in his eye. Before I knew it, he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder as he walked back to his place. I squealed loudly and kicked my legs in the air, earning stares and a lot of tutting from the neighbours. I didn't give a shit; it was their fault for being so middle class and up their own asses. I continued squealing as he brought me into the house, ran upstairs to his room and threw me onto his bed. As soon as I collided with the mattress, I giggled loudly. Jack smiled.
"Why are you so smiley?" I asked him.
"Because you're adorable." he chuckled, sitting next to me. "Actually, it's just because you're here."
My cheeks burnt slightly as I blushed. Dammit! I hate when he makes me blush! I felt Jack's arms snake around me, pulling me into a side hug. He rested his chin on my shoulder and the feeling of his breath tickling against my neck made me squirm slightly. Jack slowly planted kisses along my collarbone - which stuck out way more than the average person's - then worked his way up my neck. It felt so good, to finally have this kind of thing with someone, and not just think it's one of those myths that only exists in the movies and on TV. I moved my head so I was facing Jack, who was smiling slightly as he pulled away from me.
"You're too smiley to just be happy about me being here." I smirked. "Spit it out, Barakat."
"I hate that you can read me like a book." he chuckled. "Well anyway...I have big news."
Jack's face lit up as he smiled more. He's so adorable when he's happy. Whenever he figured out what he was going to say, he giggled like a little girl and got lost in the moment. I glared at him for a brief moment, then he cleared his throat.
"Some guy from Hopeless Records has seen us at a few shows...and he wants to meet with us to discuss...something." he told me, not sounding confident at all.
"Well...what's this 'something' he wants to discuss?" I asked.
I knew damn well what Jack was talking about; it's so easy to tell what Jack was thinking!
"A proper record deal." he grinned.
"Jackalope that's amazing!" I shrieked, hugging him tightly. "I am so so proud of you!"
I loosened the hug a little and pressed my lips against Jack's. I felt his lips form into a smile the longer we kissed; knowing I approved made him happy I guess. Jack broke the kiss and looked at me, a smile still spread across his face.
"Lily I'm beyond happy." he grinned, taking hold of my hands. "This is like the biggest thing that's ever happened to me since...since you."
"You deserve to be happy." I smiled back, pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
"But I already have you for that." he smirked, pushing me backwards.
I fell back onto the mattress and soon enough he was hovering over me, his face hanging about an inch above mine. I bit my lip; was he actually gonna do something? Or was he just gonna tease me like this forever? He leaned down and brushed his lips against mine. Our lips only touched for a moment, before he pulled away.
"Jackalope?"
"Sorry." he mumbled.
Jack moved to the other end of the bed, hugging himself awkwardly. I sat up slightly, leaning on my elbows for support, and stared at him. Something really isn't right with him. He's acting so weird. I moved closer to him.
"What is it?" I asked softly.
"I love you." he said back, looking into my eyes.
"I know you do." I smiled. "But what's wrong? You're freaking me out!"
Jack discretely bit his lip, searching for the right words. As far as I could see, he had no reason to be sad. A proper record label wanted to sign his band, he had a girlfriend who loved him...what exactly is there to be upset about? Jack opened his mouth to speak, but a knock on his bedroom door stopped him.
"Jack? Can I come in?" came a voice; it was Joyce.
"Yeah." he said loudly, quickly cheering up.
I really don't understand this boy sometimes. He confuses the shit outta me! Joyce came in, slightly shocked to see me in here.
"Oh you are here, Lily. I didn't hear you."
"Really? You didn't hear me squealing when I came in because Jack was tickling me?" I chuckled.
"No." she said honestly, shaking her head. "Lisa's downstairs, sweetie. She wants to speak to you."
I nodded and Joyce left the room. Jack obviously wasn't going to tell me, so I tutted and left the room. Lisa was waiting in the hallway for me, so I went down to her. I started to smile, but when I noticed the worried look on her face, my smile immeditaely dropped.
"What now?" I sighed.
"Zack knows." she mumbled.
Shit.
