August 2005 - Age 17Lily
A little over a year ago, I never imagined me and Jack ever speaking again. It was one thing I never even considered or thought about. So I guess you could say it still freaks me out a little when I remember we've been together for almost 7 months. But it's a secret. The guys know that both of us are seeing people, and they know that we're being civil with each other, however we managed to keep it from all of them...except Rian and Kara - she only knew because she was the first person I'd told and it was her idea for Rian to know about it. Our secret dates were usually at Rita's, in the back where all the staff hung out. Rian was staff manager, so he managed to keep everyone out until we were done and always made sure Jack had our 'date nights' off. And that's where we're heading right now: Rita's. I was trusting Jack with driving my car and it was a big risk; Jack's not exactly the best driver. Okay he's terrible. But with my car, he actually drove pretty good. I guess it's because it's mine and he knew how upset I'd be if he crashed it. We pulled up round the back of Rita's, where Rian was waiting for us in the parking lot like he usually did. Except he didn't look happy. As we got out of the car, he quickly walked over to us.
"You guys need to go." he murmured.
"Why? Do they know?" I gasped.
"No, but Alex is in there with Lisa and I doubt I'll be able to keep my cool."
Jack nodded at Rian and got back in the car. I however glared at him.
"Lily please." begged Jack.
"No." I snapped. "I'm not hiding from my friends anymore. I say we march right in there and have ourselves a real date."
Jack continued to stare at me, begging me wth his eyes to just go with him and leave Rian in peace. But he knew I wouldn't give up. I went to go inside, but Rian stepped in my way. I tutted and stepped the other way, but Rian did the same again.
"Move it, Dawson." I scowled.
"I won't let you do this." he muttered.
"Oh shut the fuck up, Rian! You can't control me forever!"
Seriously, what the fuck is his problem?! I just wanna spend the night with my boyfriend! I couldn't care less if Rian was scared of blowing our cover...I wanted time with Jack. I shoved Rian out of the way and started to walk to the front.
"LILY LET'S GO!" shouted Jack.
"I'M FUCKING HUNGRY!" I screamed back.
I watched Jack sigh over dramatically and slump back into his seat, then continued walking round to the front. I braced myself before I walked in; Lisa and Alex were being their usual fuddy-duddy-selves like they always were when they went on a date. They'd practically dive on me as soon as they saw me. Somehow, I managed to walk in without either of them seeing me. I ordered and was just leaving when they saw me.
"Hey Lily!" squealed Lisa, waving at me.
I sighed, then plastered a smile on my face as I turned around to face them. As I walked over, I noticed Alex was a little less than pleased that I'd turned up, but he plastered a smile on his face just like I had and looked up at me.
"So what brings you here, Merrick?" he asked.
"Uh...movie night with Zack." I lied, holding up the bag. "Hey we need supplies!" I chuckled, noticing Alex facepalming.
"Aw, I think it's sweet..." smiled Lisa, sending a small glare at Alex.
"Yeah, well...have fun you two." I smiled back, waving as I left.
