After the reconciliations and the return of your glasses, exploring Rivendell becomes much more enjoyable. The architecture of the buildings, interior or exterior, waterfalls, trees, everything exudes magic and elegance. Elrond's library is incredibly large and full of books. You often meet Ori or Bilbo there. The rest of your time, you go exploring the surrounding gardens or forests.

One evening when the moon is bright and the night is mild, you walk near the waterfalls. The reflection of the stars on the water is so pure that you can hardly believe your own eyes.

"My dear (Y/N)," a voice behind you begins. "I was looking for you. Are you alone?" "Good evening Gandalf, Lord Elrond," you answer by bowing. "Yes I'm alone. Why are you looking for me? A problem with the dwarves?" "No, not at all," he says, bowing as much as Elrond did. "With Lord Elrond, we wanted to talk to you."

Gandalf's voice and smile should reassure you, but something is worrying you and he doesn't take long to confirm it.

"You knew we were coming to Rivendell, didn't you? About the trolls, I even think you were suspecting something when I saw your gaze in front of the ruined house. In fact, I was waiting for Lord Elrond's advice before I told you about it." "Don't need to lie to us," Elrond says amiably as you were about to play the fool who understands nothing. "I feel something different about you. Something that is not from Middle-earth."

With no alternative, you can only admit the truth. Lying would no longer help you. With a sigh, you nod to them.

"You're right. I'm not from this world. But don't ask me how I got here and why! I don't know. I'm useless and almost died five minutes after I lost my glasses ..."

From their height, the elf and the wizard smile at you in front of your honesty. Are you just a hobbit or are you petite for a hobbit? Because they are really big! Anyway, now is not the time.

"You're going to have a hard time believing me but, um, I know everything's going to happen," you admit, playing with your fingers. "To begin with, Lord Elrond, I imagine you've already guessed the quest to reclaim Erebor."

Gandalf raises an eyebrow as he looks at Elrond. The elf tilts his head to affirm your words and urges you to continue.

"Smaug, Azog, the battle of─ Hm, I think I shouldn't tell you everything. Even though I know what's going to happen, it's not me, a human turned into a hobbit, who can help them. I don't even know how to fight. I won't even survive the goblins' pursuit ..." "The goblins' pursuit?" Gandalf asks, more to himself than to you. "Knowledge can be a powerful weapon, even in Middle-earth," Elrond says. "Few people still have the gift of clairvoyance on our lands." "This is not clairvoyance, Lord Elrond," you sigh. "Well maybe somehow ..." "What are you going to do then?" Gandalf asks. Do you want to go back home?" "Can you send me home?"

A noise of leaves in the distance interrupts you. Elrond seems to be looking in one direction while Gandalf turns his head in another. As you turn around, you see Bilbo walking hesitantly towards you. Did he hear it all? That you come from another world? That you were human? He will think you're insane!

"Thorin, you can join us too," Gandalf says then as your eyes widen more.

Thorin and Bilbo slowly join your group. The air is getting heavier, and the moonlight now seems too bright to you. Bilbo doesn't seem to be angry at you. He looks at you like he is waiting for something. As for Thorin, his eyes are nowhere near as gentle as Bilbo's. With his arms crossed over his chest, he looks at you contemptuously before turning to Gandalf.
