Summary: You come from our world and arrive just before the quest for Erebor. You will accompany the company pretending to be a boy, yell at Thorin and all of Durin's heirs will survive.

Chapter 5: The coronation

Once Kíli returns to Erebor with his mother and other dwarves from Blue Mountains, the coronation's date can finally be set. Thorin only has to wait two weeks before he is officially King, even though he already holds the position, and the Arkenstone is already on the top of the throne.

It was only after a few days Kíli found out that Tauriel now lives in Erebor. First, he thinks he is dreaming. Then, between his brother and you making fun of him, he realizes she is really in front of him. Barely reunited, Fíli and Kíli make you go crazy. Even with their princely obligations and Kíli who spends his time secretly courting Tauriel, they manage to find time to annoy you. One day when you are quietly settled in a room working on a new project, they both come and disturb you. You ended up throwing them out yelling at them, "Next time you come to bother me, I ask Dwalin to cut your tongue with his axe!" At the same time, you see a dwarrowdam in the corridor watching the two young dwarves run away. You look ridiculous to shout like that, and especially to the two princes. She walks up to you, smiling. Why is she smiling at you when you look crazy?

- "I'm glad to see some people put them back in their place, otherwise they will do whatever they want!" - "It is already a lost cause ...," you sigh. "Oh sorry, maybe I shouldn't have! Um, my name is (Y/N)." - "Oh, so it's you (Y/N)! My son told me about you the whole trip. I'm Dís, his mother." - "N-nice to meet you," you stammer with surprise and embarrassment. "I hope he spoke of me in a good way..." - "Whether he talks about you good or bad, I know without your help he wouldn't be here. So you already had my respect before we met." - "I-it is too much honor ..."

Fíli, Kíli and Thorin are princes, but you have been traveling with them for months, so you are comfortable with them. On the other hand, Dís is another story. You don't know how to address her. Seeing your embarrassment, she smiles and invites you to drink tea with her so that you can tell her about her sons during the quest. You kindly accept and, after putting away your things, you follow her.

The coronation's organization is complex, and you are happy not to participate. During the two weeks, the dwarves run in all directions to prepare for the festivities. Like all dwarf celebrations, they are planned to last several days.

On coronation day, you are working on one of the projects occupying all of your time and energy. Usually, you work with many dwarves, but now you are alone. Everyone is getting ready for the coronation. The weeks went by so quickly that you didn't have time to prepare for the coronation. You just know you will be wearing the dress you bought from Dale. No need to spend the day getting ready!

You are finalizing two-three things when the room door suddenly opens. You hear a female voice shouting your name. Dís looks at you, her hands on her hips and an angry look. Did she discover it wasn't Kíli who ate her last cookies in the kitchens but you?

- "(Y/N), what are you still doing here working? You should be ready already," she says, taking your pencil from your hands and putting it on the table. - "Hello Dís," you smile. "I'm almost done. I wanted to get ready quickly after." - "Quickly? Do you know how long does it takes to get dressed from head to toe for such a ceremony? From the look you make, I guess not ... From time to time, I forget you are from another world."
