Heya! Wanna start by saying I love your writing, it's literally phenomenal♡'・ᴗ・'♡ like the way you embody the characters=chefs kiss. Anyway, enough fangirling, I was wondering if I could get a Legolas one-shot where the (badass) reader (half dwarf-half elf, like height and manners of an elf but everything else dwarf if that makes sense, was apart of the company) gets taken with Mary and Pippin as well for some reason and there's like a sweet reunion at the end🥰

You had taken it upon yourself to explore a little when you arrived in Rivendell. This was your first time leaving the Blue Mountains and you were quite amazed by the elven architecture and the openness of the settlement, having grown up in homes carved from caverns in mountains. You wore light armour from your journey and had your warhammer resting on your shoulder as you wandered around, crossing bridges that rose over streams and waterfalls. The water was calming, the sound of it like a running symphony and it filled you with a homely feeling despite having no such thing back in the mountain halls that you grew up in.

You had braided your hair in traditional dwarfish fashion and decorated it with patterned metal cuffs. Your clothes were a little dirtied from the journey but you planned on changing into your more formal attire for the council meeting that would be held in a few hours' time. You found yourself in a small garden after a while of wandering, a lone blond ellon already there. Upon your arrival, his eyes landed on you and one of his brows furrowed as they skimmed over your form.

"Hello," He spoke up. You had never met an elf before but you had heard that they were self-righteous and were notoriously stubborn in holding their grudge against dwarves for events from the first age: long before you were born. But you had often been subjected to teasing from other dwarves while growing up, typically for your tall height and lack of facial hair. Your father insisted that you were simply built tall and would grow into your facial hair eventually.

"Hi," You replied, approaching him with an open mind - what had making assumptions based on appearances ever earned you in your life besides insecurity anyway?

"I am Legolas Thranduilion of the Woodland Realm. I have come for the council of Elrond." He stood to greet you with a slight nod of his head.

"Y/n, daughter of Thommoth from the Blue Mountains." You replied, seeing how his face fell into utter confusion right away.

"The Blue Mountains?" He highlighted and you nodded your head, "It's the first time I've left them, actually. I was appointed to travel with Gimli, son of Glóin." Now he seemed intrigued.

"Why would you be sent to travel with a dwarf?" You blinked your eyes at such an obvious question.

"...Because I'm a dwarf?" You replied blatantly, wondering if the notoriety of an elf's heightened sight was a complete and utter myth. You were met with laughter before he abruptly stopped at how you seemed hurt by such a reaction.

"You're serious?"

"Why, in Aulë's name would I not be? I mean, I know I'm tall for a dwarf but-" He opened his mouth to speak but you both were interrupted.

"Y/n!" Gimli's voice, you turned to see how he was quickly approaching and he eyes Legolas suspiciously. "Is this elf-" the word was spoken with disdain, "-bothering you?"

"Not at all, my friend." You assured him - you might have been a good fighter but you did not enjoy verbal conflict.

"Come, we're going to eat before the meeting."

"Excellent! I've felt starved for the last few leagues!" And you happily followed the dwarf who you had grown quite friendly with on the journey to Rivendell.
