Steven universe x OC gem reader

episode 19

While Garnet was trying to interrogate Peridot with the others I was fixing Steven some real food. Not some junk that will decline his health. My personal favorite. Spaghetti.

"Topaz!"

"Yeah?" I look up from boiling noodles and see the other Gems on the warp.

"Are you coming?"

"No I need to fix Steven some food but I'll make sure Peridot doesn't do anything."

"Ok... Oh! I almost forgot, Steven! Topaz!"

"Yes?" Me and Steven say in unison.

Garnet forms a heart shape with her hands.

"I love you. Bye!"

"See ya later!" Amethyst adds.

'So we're just open with this relationship stuff now?' I blush.

"Hey Topaz can I help?"

"Of course Steven. You can stir the noodle while I make the sauce."

"Ok!" He jumps over and hugs my leg then gets to work.

The sky outside the Beach House is getting dark as thunder is heard. Steven calls out to Peridot.

"They left, you know. You can come out now."

"No! I-I like it in here!"

"Okay."

We both look outside the window and see how heavy it's coming down outside.

"I bet you love this weather huh Topaz?"

"You bet I do. I hope it thunders too."

Right on que. Thunder can be heard just outside. I hear the bathroom door being hit open and when I turn to look I see Peridot run face first into the wall. Scared.

"It's happening!"

"What!?" Steven says.

"The Cluster!"

She runs over to us and hugs my leg. She slowly looked up and saw who she was hugging and then ran around for Steven to hide behind him. When Steven asks if it really is this so called Cluster she responds with.

"What else could be making that horrible-" Thunder strikes again. "AHHHHH!!! It's pounding on the Earth from the inside! This is it, this is THE END of the world!"

She cries and whimpers.

"Oh, that's just thunder!" I say.

"What?"

"Yeah, everything is fine, it's just thunder. It happens when it rains." Steven continues for me.

"Uh huh?"

"You don't know about rain?"

"... I don't know anything without my screen."

'I can't tell if that's sad or pathetic... or both.'

"I-It's okay. Here, pretend these noodles are the ocean. When the sun warms it up, water evaporates into clouds, like this steam." He lifts the cooking pot lid, releasing steam from the inside, and closes it. "But when the clouds get really heavy, it rains."

"So, scalding liquid pours down from the sky?"

"No, no i-it's just water, it can't hurt you. Here, why don't I just show you?"

Steven steps outside the house and runs down to the stairs, into the rain.

"Woo-hoo!"

"Steven, wait!!" Peridot stops just at the door and I stand next to her.

"Need me to hold your hand?" It was supposed to be a joke but she actually did hold my hand.

Peridot cautiously reaches her hand out into rain, feeling the rain drops on her skin. She looks up at me then back outside. She slowly steps out of the house and into the rain. With me of course holding her hand. She softly squeezes my hand but I'm enjoying the rain to much to care.

Back inside I finished the spaghetti and fixed two plates. One for Steven and one for me, I'll fix Peridot if she wants one but I don't think she will. I turn around expecting to see Steven sitting and excited but I don't. I then hear the warp pad activated.

"Ugh those brats!" I set the plates down and run to the warp pad. "Oh no! Where could they have gone?"

I start at the Galaxy Warp. Nothing. The old ship Peridot tried to kill us in. Nothing. The Kindergarten. I'll have to search.

I dropped down and start running to find them. Thankfully I did.

"What were you too thinking!?" I said.

"Aah!" Peridot yelped and hid behind Steven who was also nervous.

"You could've gotten hurt both of you! And the who would save you? Not me cause I would've of been here if I wasn't lucky."

"Uuh Topaz?"

"No now Steven this is supposed to be a disciplined talk. Not only did you–."

"Behind you!"

I summon my axe and swing behind me to get my attack caught but a bunch of arms from a mutant gem.

"Ugh this is gonna suck!" I push them off the grab two of their arms then split them. I quickly bubble and store it back at the house.

I turn around and see Steven and Peridot being chased into a corner by more mutants.

I run over, summon my weapon, jump inbetween them just in time for Stevens' bubble to go away.

"I got it you guys. Stay safe!" I yell a little louder when I'm suprised by the strength of these mutants compared to any other.

'They must have alot of gems mixed up with them.

I look sad at them but quickly poof them only to be attacked again by another mutant.

"Aaaaah!" I hear behind me and get scared for their lives.

I poof the mutant and run the 2 small gem and human. Peridot was about to get bit by a way bigger mutant gem with way more arms.

I rush and stick my arm between its teeth making it bite down then I push Peridot away with my other.

It hurt badly but I had to save them.

I grab the mouth and pull the mutant apart. I backflip over Peridot and Steven to land on another mutant and finally poofing the last mutant gem.

"Wow that was amazing Topaz!" Steven runs up to me and jumps in his place at his own excitement. "I didn't know you were that strong Topaz!"

"Theirs alot you don't know about me." I said pretending to be super mysterious and happy I made Steven laugh I look at Peridot who was blushing.

"Yes I must say. I am appreciative of you saving me... so I will share some informative with you as I did with Steven."

"Oh? Ok well let's do it while we walk back. Ok? Ok."

They explained the Cluster to me and and when we warp home I'm astonished.

"Wow thats terrible for us. How would we even start to–."

I was cut off by the other Gems showing up.

"Hey guys!" Steven said and ran up there. "Peridot has something to tell us!"

They practically teleported here but since I alright knew what she was gonna say I just went into my room.

"Goodnight."
