episode 24 - 25

"The Rubies are back?!"

"They showed up on their little ship acting very angry. So I put them in time-out."

"I thought we were done with these guys!" Steven walks up to the Rubies. "Why did you come back here?"

"Let's release one and just ask what they're up to."

"Ooh, ooh! Can I pick?"

"Go for it."

Steven walks closer and scans through the Rubies.

While he was looking at them, Garnet slides next to me.

"So how was the Beta Kindergarten?"

I cross my arms and look away.

"I'll tell you later."

Her small smile shifts down, and she grabs my hand.

"It's ok if you don't want to. I just wanted to ask."

I grab hers back.

"I'll tell you after we deal with this. I'll probably have to anyway when Steven and Amethyst show ya'll their suprise."

"A suprise?"

"Yes, a suprise."

"Oh! Let's talk to Leggy!" Steven says.

"Leggy?"

"I named them based on the placement of their gems. There's "Leggy", "Army", "Navy", "Eyeball", and uh... "Doc". "Leggy" seems like the easiest to talk to."

"Leggy, come on down!"

Lapis pops the water bubble trapping "Leggy", and she falls onto the ground.

"Hey! Hi, I'm Steven. What brings you back to Earth?"

"Uh..." she sits up. "I... don't... know?" And shrugs.

"Oh, uh, I understand. I used to forget why we go on missions all the time."

"I'll just go stand over here then." She walks over to stand by the fence.

"Let's take a chance on Army."

'He's gonna talk to everyone, isn't he... yep, he is.'

I hover off the ground and just lay in the air.

'It's surprisingly comfortable.'

"Hey!"

I turn to see Amethyst shape shifted into Jasper.

'No. No, I can't do this.'

I fly into the barn and lay on some hay.

'I just need to sleep this day off.'

And that's what I do.

I was waken up by Peridot.

"That's where I sleep." She points.

"Then lay with me." I was being sarcastic, and I thought that was obvious, but when I waited for a reaction, and she didn't give one I was confused.

It turned into panic when she laid next to me and layed a hand over my chest.

'Woah! Woah! This is sudden!'

I saw Lapis and waved at her to come over and help me, but all she did was walk over to the other side and lay on me.

'These idiots don't understand what their doing to me.'

I wanna push them off, but I also don't. I faded back to sleep anyway, but I wonder.

'What would the gems think if they saw me like this.'

I am once again waken up by someone else. And it is Garnet.

"Hey, sleepy head."

"Hey... help me."

She suppressed a laugh.

"Ok."

She held Peridots hand up while I slid out of their cuddles.

"How did you end up like that?"

We started walking home.

"Well, I was laying down when suddenly Peridot laid with me, and when I tried to get Lapis to help me, she just joined us."

"Aren't you a flirt."

"That's not what I meant by it but I can see how they might think that."

"Have you worked on your fusion dances?"

"Yeah."

"Do you wanna sing and practice with me?"

"How about I just sing while we walk home. I've been working on this song to impress Steve."

"Well, let's hear it."

"That... was beautiful."

"Haha, do you think Steven will like it?"

"Does my opinion not matter?"

"No."

She gasped and punched me.

"I'm kidding! Of course yours does."

"It better."

We make it home and Steven is sound asleep.

"He's probably tired from all that happened today. He found out about his mom shattering Pink Diamond."

"You finally told him?"

"No. The Rubies told him when we went to the moon base."

"You went to the moon base?"

"Yes, and Steven was ejected out into space and we almost lost him."

"HE WHAT!"
