"Talk." Bakugou demanded, setting a cup of tea in front of Shoto before slumping down in his own seat across the desk, draining whatever red liquid was in his glass in one go. Shoto hoped it wasn't alcohol, it was far too early in the day plus the man did not need to get any more aggravated than his current state. Although, Shoto was partly to blame for it.

"It's difficult to explain. But, I believe last night I had a vision."

"A vision." Bakugou repeated, his tone clearly unimpressed. "What kind?"

"A visit from the Blessed Maiden."

"Yeah right." Bakugou scoffed, leaning back in his seat with a smirk. Shoto stared at him, face entirely serious, and waited until the smirk slipped and it seemed like he was about to be taken seriously. "You're not joking?" Bakugou asked.

"I don't have time for such things."

"The Blessed Maiden? The one who-"

"Was blessed by the Goddess and saved our world. Yes. I think she's been trying to contact me for quite some time: I've been having odd dreams and there was that incident at the monaste-"

"Hold the fuck up. How long has this been going on? These, visions or whatever?" Bakugou put his elbows on his desk, brows furrowed together.

"I've been aware of her presence for quite some weeks, but I thought I was imagining things. Last night was the first time I properly spoke to her."

"You spoke to the Blessed Maiden." Bakugou clarified, eyes unmoving from Shoto's own.

"Yes." he nodded, reaching into his pocket and pulling out the book he found, flicking through the pages to find the passage he needed. "We spoke, but not for long. I had questions that had no time to be answered, so when I awoke I went straight to the Monastery. She said many things." He was getting close now, it was after this illustration of a wide mountainside. "It was the body of the maiden, yet her voice was like that of the goddess herself. She spoke of being everything and nothing, of being a part of every human, of flora and fauna, of sun and wind and rain. She knew me rather intimately, though to me she was a stranger." He found the page and turned it upside down for Bakugou to read, resting it in front of the man on the desk. "I'm her descendant, from my mother's side."

It was quiet as Bakugou read the passage, several times it seemed as his eyes went from the top to the bottom of the page over and over until slowly reality settled in.

"You're also a descendent of her companion." Shoto added, ignoring the look Bakugou sent him at hearing the obvious statement.

"Your bloodline traces back to Escila, the lost village?"

"Yes. I vaguely remember my mother talking of such a place when I was younger, but I thought it was another one of her tales. Our ice magic and our appearance it identical to that of the maiden, and rindous are native to that land."

"Your favourite flower." said Bakugou, as if reminding himself of the fact. He took a moment to ponder the drawing of the flower before he collected himself, coughing and reading through the passage once more. "It's true, my family has a long history of being travellers and explorers. This guy seems kinda cool." He smirked.

"One evening in the library, well, at first I thought it was a dream, but I believe now it was a vision of the maiden and this Bakugou. He looked rather like you." Shoto told him.

"Yeah?"

"Yes. He was," Shoto frowned, searching for the right word, "cool, as you say."

Bakugou huffed, seeming more relaxed now that he had seen the evidence with his own eyes. Shoto drank his tea, giving the man a moment to gather his thoughts. It was peppermint, with the slightest touch of spice. Both delicious and warming from the cold wind that accompanied his travels.
